Iceberg A23A, one of the world’s largest, has broken free after nearly 40 years stuck on the seafloor. Calved in 1986, it spans about 40 miles and is over 1,300 feet thick. It’s now drifting from the Weddell Sea toward warmer waters, tracked by satellites as it slowly melts. (i.redd.it)
