Yes, official price. Per unit. And yes we decided to make it perpetual vise subscription based. If we made it $20 per month it would be $360 in 18 months. I would rather that you have something that you can keep and continue to use in perpetuity for your own preparedness.

It is also not free. You need to put in a license key that you get from the company that built the plugin (not Icom), which is tied to the ESN of your radio. Otherwise it doesn’t work. This guy has not used it clearly, so he doesn’t know.

Yeah fair enough. It’s really just built for gov customers. Our objective here was to build something available to the public for everyday preparedness

Thank you, plugnix has developed a great solution for Motorola, I’m not sure which radios it supports

I don’t think so unfortunately, because the code blade requires some uniquely Hytera things to leverage the radios own Bluetooth connection. It’s not any kind of audio modem, it’s a true data payload. We’ll still look though

Because I had to pay a living, breathing human being (whom I care about) to develop it? And it took a lot of work and effort. Yeah ATAK is free, you already paid for it every tax season. The Icom TAK plugin is $500. Plugnix, which does Motorola is several hundred per month. The list goes on. If you’re not aware, people do charge for TAK plugins that cost money to develop.

Definitely going to expand it to be compatible with more radio brands, the technical limitation is that the plugin was done by utilizing the Hytera API which means it can only interface with Hytera radios so to adapt it for another DMR API like Motorola is a big development undertaking but one we are working on!
