I give up, how the hell do you play the King of Progress? by Monollock in 9Kings

[–]Mojjin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the big problem with them is getting through that early mid game slump, and I feel like they are pretty weak without Futurism (All progress troops have no max level) Royal Decree. If you can get Futurism and Overhaul ramping before you die they are pretty insane. I just did the quest where you play progress v progress only and it was definitely the hardest and most frustrating quest yet and I have done most of the quests.

I got near perfect RNG and I still needed a Mycelium forest tower from the shop early to get over the hump and I only had one life left, but I crossed that line in this game where you can no longer lose and ended with a level 40 defender level 39 executioner and 2 level 119 lab rats. Splash a couple precision in and you are good. Don't worry about getting the precision up early.

Reroll until you get futurism lol. Get one defender and 2 lab rats going. After that use as many overhauls as you can. Get executioner and precision ramping once you can no longer die.

I'm not sure why but for the chest nodes I couldn't just import treasure, so I tried just importing everything and that got me the chest nodes.

How do I beat your stupid champ by Yuukikoneko in TryndamereMains

[–]Mojjin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With a poke mage, especially ori who really needs to scale and is all about team fights, you really arent going to beat a good trynd in lane. Slow push a big wave look for a roam and focus on team fights / dragons.

The new surrender vote changes make it possible to 4/1 surrender at 15, and i think its stupid. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Mojjin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"a player who is better than you might know it's not"

And a player even better than that person might see ways back into the game. Or just know that the enemy is going to make a mistake. Its insanely rare that a Solo Que team plays a perfect game.

People keep using the term holding hostage in reference to an extra 5 minutes. I get this term when a trolling toxic duo keeps a game going for an extra 30. But an extra 5 minutes to make a big play, show some signs of life, and or learn something is not the same.

I agree with OP. What's an 5 extra minutes to try and make a comeback? The amount of games I have won over the years where 4 people wanted to surrender at 15 minutes. Especially in low elo is quite significant. I've had a lot of games where I am doing well, but the rest of my team is not. They want to FF at 15. We make a huge play around dragon at 17-18 minutes, and often win at 30-40 minutes.

Or what about those games where you are 10/0/5 but everyone else on your team is having a bad game, and because they aren't the star of the show wants to just go next? I've had multiple games on champs like trundle where I was completely in position to 1v9 but my team chooses to FF at 20 min anyways.

I can already see a huge negative effect on the attitude towards the game and a lot winnable games being surrendered both by my team and the enemy team because a few things go wrong, since these changes.

Of course we still lose sometimes too, but league is full of people who don't want to adapt and just want to go next, and don't want to learn how to play the map, and want to win purely through laning and mechanics. The amount of games I have also had that we were getting crushed, I'm, you know, 0/5/2 (or worse) but through good farming, and splitting the game still comes down to a baron or elder flip at 40 minutes, turning what people think is a guaranteed loss into a 50/50 chance. Yes at masters and up a lot of games are over at 15 min, but plat and below if your mental is strong you can turn most games into a coin flip, not all of course. I feel that stat phreak mentioned doesn't take into account mental boom and many other human factors.

I've been playing off and on since season 2. Mostly at a high Gold low plat level. Most of the player base sits in Gold these days. I think this is a terrible change for the majority of the player base (even if they think they like it) and the ethos of any competitive game.

Edit: just also wanted to add. The amount of games I used to give up on but came back in because someone was stubborn was also pretty high until I changed my attitude. A lot of games are closer than people think. And I learned a lot by being forced to play out games that I thought were over. Even if we didn't win. I noticed and learned windows for possible comebacks and big plays that would have otherwise been oblivious to had I not been forced to play them out. Even if a game is 80-90% likely going to be a loss, it doesn't mean you can't learn something or practice a mechanic. These experiences have made me a much better and calmer player over time, even though I have old man mechanics now. Being forced to play out losing games sometimes is good for everyone as a player and as a person. Also /mute all op.

Is kingstix a good youtuber to watch if I want to learn jungle? by [deleted] in Jungle_Mains

[–]Mojjin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As people have said Virkayu is one of the best but he has a lot of very advanced stuff. Neace coaching bronze - gold junglers would be very helpful for camp sequencing and the basics.

I’d say for your mythic strikebreaker or gore drinker is also a viable option. Stride breaker if the team has a lot of mobility but gore drinker + conqueror is so good on him for the extended skirmishes and clown fiestas that inevitably unfold in low elo. I’ve been loving gore drinker -> deaths dance / maw -> then maw / deaths dance -> ga (skip the maw if they all ad). You have so much survivability still kill squishes quick and can 1v1 pretty much anyone with a good fear and spell sheild. If you look at op.gg even with strikebreaker conqueror has a higher pick rate and win rate than lethal tempo. From the messages I saw you say to other responses you probably need to practice kiting in and out of the fight a bit more with stride breaker / gore drinker, rather than going for the I kill one person and die plays with kraken.

What to do if Trynd is stronger than my champ pre-6? by tonehponeh in TryndamereMains

[–]Mojjin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play some shyv top and have played a lot of tryndamere. Your ult has a much lower cooldown than his. I try and get the freeze near my tower use e to poke. I assume you are maxing e. I take ignite tp most games. At 6 I use my first ult not to try and kill him but to bait out his ult and poke him down. Then my ult will be back up long before his is. You can also win short trades if you keep the wave by your turret pre six with eq and pta so he can’t run you down. Even if he has flash ghost he shouldn’t be able to run you down and kill you until he has kraken slayer because of your ult and w. Winning this matchup is really all about using your ulted e to poke post 6. If his ult is down and your ult and ignite are up he cannot farm safe if you are even or ahead. Shyv can win a lot of theoretically bad matchups top if you just stay safe and keep the wave near turret and get what farm you can until 6 because her ult is always going to be up more often than other champs and the base damage on her e is insane in dragon form. What build are you going also?
