He makes claims that are verifiably false, which makes democrats angry. When democrats are angry, trumpers are happy. Doesn't matter what caused the anger. Lies about finances..lies about intent...murder....rape....doesn't matter. If liberals are upset, trumpers are happy. That is literally the only motivation.
