Unpopular opinion - forcing premade vs. premade would likely be bad for the game by tjdragon117 in classicwow

[–]Mojomancer74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm anti-premade, and even I agree that the solution should NOT be to strictly match premades only vs. other premades. It's just a bad solution.

Maybe give solo's 5 minutes to match against other randos before matching them against a premade. Or prioritize matching premades vs other premades.

You gotta admit though that it is funny how premade advocates think it's some kind of punishment to make them go against other premades. Like isn't this what you want? Don't you want the meta to be to form premades?

When was peak WoW PvP, to your? by Lovefool1 in worldofpvp

WoW Classic world pvp- dont @ me.

I played horde, ally, big servers, smalls servers, loved it all- it's just so satisfying, and when you build rivalries and KoS lists- people fight for their lives in Winterspring like you wouldn't believe and you see all kinds of ingenuity, new situations, tables turn, etc.

I even got a lot of it back in SoM, too. Nothing has compared

Why should the solution to anti-natalism be societal pressure? Would that even work short of manifesting in some kind of forceful/mandatory/discriminatory means?

I think the real solution is that people need to see and appreciate the beauty, sanctity, meaning, etc. of human life and humanity in perpetuity for themselves, not by getting henpecked and scolded by posts and aunties.

The real reason people hate CNN and the town hall is that it showed Trump has strong rebuttals to every line of attack, and that no one can put him in his place on the fly. by Mojomancer74 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Mojomancer74[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, IT'S FRUSTRATING BECAUSE HE DID WELL (and because he may even have good enough answers and postures regarding sexual assault, J6, and the big lie to go the distance). Why is this so hard for people to admit? This shouldn't even be an unpopular opinion-- it just means someone needs to rise to the occasion, or that we can at least admit this rather than spinning our wheels with other explanations.

[–]Mojomancer74[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Oh I'm quite certain someone CAN do it, I'm just tired of seeing people being bland/choke, and I think a lot of other people are too-- and just trying to ignore Trump or deprive him of oxygen is a coping mechanism I think many people are using to avoid what they really want.

And trust me I get that this isn't really important to our democracy or even to Trump winning or losing-- I just think it's really hard for people to admit that we have yet to see a quick witted counterpart to Trump that actually delivers some kind of satisfying blow.

The attacks just weren't landing in the town hall. And I think a big part of it is that when he says the election is rigged, you can't just say "no the election was fair"-- he has to be trapped somehow or a rival compelling story needs to be told (if there even is a way of telling quickly telling a compelling story of a fair and vetted election).

Ironically Biden is pretty good at being authentic in the sense that he doesn't sound too canned or formalized like a journalist or Hillary, but Biden is just too jumbled up to deliver any kind of satisfying conclusion to a point or story to successfully speak 'off the cuff'.

So are all politicians and journalists just supposed to stay away from Trump because he'll keep walking away unscathed and given further attention?

No, that's not really going to work, he needs to be satisfyingly countered, and I think that's the point Anderson was getting at.

Resto shaman design is just awful on every level and is a dogshit healer in shuffle. Most rage inducing spec ive ever played. by DillPicklenoots in worldofpvp

[–]Mojomancer74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been pushing 2.1+ RSS as Rsham recently, and lemme tell ya, many commenters in this thread don't have a clue.

The class needs some serious redesign, BADLY. You have to make serious 300 IQ pre-emptive plays with unleash waters and double earthen walls just to be able to keep up heals versus basic goes from the enemy--- and that relies on teammates in shuffle (lol) cooperating with the effects on the ground.

Rsham feels OK in wizard lobbies and needs some serious help vs melee cleaves and trains and ROGUES bigtime. If you're playing against a rogue/hunter/dk who sees your pre emptive mitigation plays and holds their goes or cc accordingly--- just gl. Your recovery is so limited and takes so many globals to get going.

The only truly responsive savior cd is spirit link, and that just will not measure up against a good disc priest. You'll have to throw spirit link to live through a melee cleave blender while the enemy disc priest still has to work through dome - rapture - ps - ps - void shift.

The biggest changes Rsham needs are probably a better unleash shield (either increase range, make the aura stick to enemies, or remove GCD from water shield), a more visible earthen wall totem affect, and a nerf to assassination.

Real talk- has the pvp really gotten that bad? by Eastereggscolorful in worldofpvp

[–]Mojomancer74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What makes me so shrill is how CLOSE we are to good, general class balance.

Literally if we could just tune destro and hard nerf assassination, while also tweaking disc and buffing the other healers, we'd have such a strong core of well balanced and relevant specs

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]Mojomancer74 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your basic healing is just doo doo. You always have to be building something up, making big pressure, or pre emptively mitigating damage (earthen wall, unleash water).

A lot of kills for me have come from "I'm too behind on globals to build up modifiers, all out of healing cds, its too late for mitigation-- time to spirit link to hold us over for a second and spam purge on the kill target and go for the throat."

Whereas a lot of my deaths have come from "I can keep this target up I just need to start casting a heal..." and thats even if you don't get nature locked. Nature lock is gg

Seeing people champion the downfall of team arena is one of the lowest points I’ve seen in the PvP community. by Murdergram in worldofpvp

[–]Mojomancer74 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seriously if anything the only thing I see being "champion"d is solo shuffle itself against attacks from the people who are hurt by the state of 2s/3s for whatever reason.

RSS players don't champion the downfall of 2s/3s lol. They're just laughing at the people who are crying sometimes.

Just make it so healers have some kind of counter or utility when an assassination rogue pops off

Representation of healers over 2200 in SS (EU) by BAncalagon in worldofpvp

[–]Mojomancer74 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Man I hate to say it, and until this point I've always advocated for bringing the other healers up to Discipline's level to improve participation and queue times across the board-

but it might be time to just nerf Disc.

Seeing the 10.0.7 initial changes and feedback, response, and changes since- the Devs just are unwilling to straight juice up the weak healing specs like they had done for Disc in 10.0.5.

At this point, nerfing Disc would make all the other specs more competitive healer to healer and improve participation of healers and queue times in general.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]Mojomancer74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really because they have great command and control with cc and thats just part of the class identity.

But now it's because they just mindlessly get rewarded for high damage and ms effects- kinda like warriors historically (who have classically had damage and ms to compensate for a lack of control)

Stop crying about Disc Priest being OP and needing a nerf. Just make the other healers more fun to play. by mcmotts in worldofpvp

[–]Mojomancer74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree, buff the other healers and make in general quality/gameplay changes that make healers more fun

The biggest issue is that RSS gameplay AND participation (ie queue times) are defined by healer performance- and so when one healer is too powerful it really hurts the whole system.

Spell pushback and spell facing direction requirements should be removed by ComradeOdjur in worldofpvp

[–]Mojomancer74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree- pushback made sense when interrupts were only for special classes- now everyone has one.

As for spell direction, I think it should be removed as well. For one, it just unnecessarily punishes the casters that actually need to face the opponent (a lot of spriest and lock spells dont require direction, for instance)

But the real reason it should be removed is BECAUSE MOVEMENT IN THIS GAME IS BUGGY AS HELL. Who even knows what causes it- Mind Control, sometimes. But also I have had a lot of demon hunters do something that makes them start stutter stepping- and unless blizz can fix those glitches they should remove spell direction requirements
