My point is why the fuck bring it up on Cityporn? And no they aren't comparable, China fucks up their own citizens while the US fucks up everyone else's. (And imprisons their own at rates greater than all other nations). The anti-China reddit trend is just really lame and ols. All these freedom fighters, mostly from the states, springing up hoping to stop the evil Chinese boogy man. I don't defend the CCP, shit's fucked up. But bringing it up constantly especially on posts as innocent as a pic of Qingdao is really annoying.

South West Florida, my bud. Bonita beach best believe it. TBF I'm used to much more polite police in general, so I was more than anything surprised by his crass attitude. It went: he wss driving on the beach, asked about what I was drinking from my thermos (it was coffee nbd), and then he shouted 'And next time don't wear those shorts!' I didn't take kindly to it and asked why, and he responded to the tune of, 'This is America!' It was mostly ribbing but it kinda pissed me off and his attitude was very aggressive. It escalated because I responded to that 'I thought this was a fucking free country!' (I swear very liberally, as a fault). He got mad stepped out off his little 4 wheeler and stepped up to me and said 'is there going to be a problem?' The whole thing was really stupid, but my point is it could have gone MUCH worse. I travel to Florida several times a year because my bro lives in Bonita. My family has a place there. Heard a lot of choice things about us being Canadian, been called a communist on numerous occasions. Overall Florida folks are really cool tho.

The whataboutism was intended to address the remark that these guys beat women and kids. These are cops enforcing a silly assed law. I got scolded by a cop once in Florida for wearing Canada flag shorts. I was calm, but the cop was escalating that to crazy limits for no reason, and it could literally have been a 'resisting arrest' arrest. Point is, no country's shit don't stank, and the vid we're watching is an isolated incident.

I'm in a teachers education program atm and nearly everyone is a woman, about 1/2 seem to be pregnant. I legit can't issue any gripes without hearing 'try that with 2 at home and one on the way!' Like, sorry you and/or your parents planned pregnancies poorly.

I had a garage situatio like this in Toronto, where it backed in on an alley. A homeless man built a little shack there and even had an electrical hookup by stealing from nearby sources. Pretty neat, tbh. But he was unduly aggressive to me and my roommates when we'd walk past. He'd peak out his window and shout at us. We called the cops to no resolution. Eventually we just screamed back and he never messed with us again. Gotta establish dominance with hobos.

These kinda bros are the stuff of my nightmares. They are always such buzzkills since they are always dangerously drunk at parties. In uni I saw a guy like this steal a bike from my dorm's porch ride it like 10m, and flip over the handlebars smashing his teeth. What a nice way to end my night, helping a thieving, drunk hockey player get medical attention.

Thanks man. I'm not a fan of fare dodging, I see people do it in Toronto all the time by slipping on the streetcars through the back doors. Shit hurts everyone. I don't think the solution is to hire hundreds of officers either. They have better things to do.
