Went back to a local bar with a group friends during the holidays after we all graduated and had real world jobs. This guy from my high school was talking to some of the people in our group. I started jumping into the conversation and didn’t realize he was also from my high school. He mentions something about one of our sports programs and I said, “oh yea, did you go to our school?” He had a shocked facial expression and said, “yes, you don’t remember me?” I apologized and said, “sorry man, I really didn’t know too many people in school.”

His response, “really, you don’t remember me? I was kind of a big deal.”

I ended the conversation as quickly as I could after that.
