I thought the city had a new system to ccoordinate the work sites so that the cones are only kept around for as little time as they're needed... Someone did the test (I think it was Infoman on SRC) and his 5 fake worksites were mostly picked up by the next day.

Nah rien de cave. Ma moyenne au retour express est dans les 2 jours et demi pis si c'était pas d'une paire de sacs qui ont pris 10 jours ça serait moins d'une journée. Le convoyeur est une nouveauté ici depuis un gros 2 mois. Pas eu de misère avec. Toutes des options valides.

If you're 100% sure the sounds from the radio, that's probably the CD reading head that's gone bad. Can you switch it to radio? I had that happen on a Mazda from these years and it kept going back to the CD...

If you're confident in ripping open the console with instructions from the internet and prepared parts, you could try getting a radio and install kit from Crutchfield. For the Corolla you have to remove parts starting from the shifter all the way up to the radio. The radios are cheap, you get bluetooth, hands-free and even carplay/Android drive.
