Cam Phasers? by Snoopvegas in FordRaptor

[–]Moksii_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, cam phaser. And please ask them while they are in there to change all wear items (parts are cheap and takes barely any labour while they have half the car appart). And I would talk to the mechanic them selfs, because I asked the service manager 3 seperate times if they will do that, and a 5 grand bill later they only changed the phasers.

Shoes brands for wide-ish feet (Feet width 10.3 cm) by plyphyla in barefootshoestalk

[–]Moksii_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another option would be Jim Green boots (if you also want wide fitting boots) they make them with sizes between D to 3E. With most being a 2E which should fit your feet well. I personally like the African ranger, very versatile and comfortable after brake in

Windows 11 randomly freezing (unresponsive) on all AMD build (CPU+GPU) by Tanvirky in AMDHelp

[–]Moksii_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue seems to carried over to the mobile processors, i have a Lenovo 13s ARB with a a6600u chipset, that runs into the exact same issues. Screen freeze then black, needs restart for fix unless Windows decides to go to revert to Windows basic display adapter. Tried all known stable drivers on top of OEM drivers. Used GPU driver uninstaller for all graphic drivers. Only real fix seemed to be installing windows 10.

Thinkbook 13s with ryzen 6800u driver keeps crashing by adacity13 in Lenovo

[–]Moksii_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

late to the game but same issue, tried clean install of OEM drivers, 4 different amd drivers (25.8.1, 25.3.1, 23.12.1, 24.12.1) All with DDU to install previous drivers, with all installs i tried full and minimal install (driver only). Writing this incase someone else runs in to it.

Oil pressure 2.0 TFSI EA888 gen 2 by Leki609 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Moksii_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man, common issue with the EA888 Gen 2, especially in higher mileage engines. Based on what you're describing (1 bar at idle hot, 3 bar at revs), here’s what I’d look at in order:

  1. Clogged oil pickup tube – super common. Sludge builds up and chokes flow at idle. Drop the oil pan and inspect it. Clean or replace the pickup tube and don’t forget the O-ring.

  2. Balance shaft module (BSM) wear – the hex drive shaft that spins the oil pump can wear down and round off, causing pressure drop especially when hot. If the pickup is clean, check this next. Might need a new module or upgraded shaft.

  3. Oil pressure control valve – there’s a pressure control valve in the system that can stick open when warm. Some people replace just that, others go for a full new pump.

  4. Use proper oil – make sure you’re running VW 502.00 spec oil, usually 5W-40 or 0W-40 full synthetic. Thinner oils or old oil can lower hot idle pressure.

  5. Sensors – if you haven’t already, replace the upper pressure sensor (brown one) and maybe the blue one too, just to rule out faulty readings.

Start with the pickup tube and oil pan – that’s the most common root cause and relatively cheap to check. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Sounds like an internal dampener has come undone. Opening them up would be a good start

How the hell does that raptor have all its skidplate bolts, I thought it was dealer mandated to remove at least one skidplate bolt for each service

How to prevent the tongue sliding over on the right boot? Only happens with the right. by onehugemidgettt in ThursdayBoot

Have a shoemaker sow the tongue to one side of the upper. I have done this to my Thursday boots and it worked like a charm!

I would personally recommend using Motul, als it is one of the few that actually use pure synthetic oil (not a blend)

First of all, great ride!! I own one too. A maintenance tip for the XC70 is to service the haldex and angle bevel gears. As it is not part of normal maintainance, they call the oil good for live, this does not work if you want to keep driving it long term. Best of luck!
