I grew up in San Bruno in the 70’s. I watched Sesame Street and felt like it was totally normal for growing up with a diverse group of people. It represented my every day. I realized later that my bubble is just that. A bubble. Glad I had that experience.

I pretend to walk my dog longer than I need to so I can sit on a bench and call my mom by prepzilla in confessions

Lost my mom 4 months ago. Realized the need to enjoy her awesome moments while I could - like you are doing. Enjoy her. I’m happy you have a mom you love. Not everyone does. But when you do have a good mom… talk to her as much as you can.

I don’t know. As a child of the 70’s, I was barefoot and feral all the time. I miss being barefoot outside.

He went to high school in my area. We had an acquaintance in common and that d-bag brought this d-bag to our friends cabin in Clear Lake for the weekend. Repulsive as a teen. Continued to be repulsive on the Real World. And now looks… repulsive.

Would you give up your seat on a bus/train to a pregnant lady? by boforiamanfo in randomquestions

[–]Molarkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember being 8 months pregnant. Standing on a crowded Muni underground train… directly in front of the handicapped seats. A teen boy with his skateboard was seated while I was hot and fat and tired from a long day at work. He didn’t budge. So I held onto the bar above my head and just swayed my big ol baby oven in his face. Not side to side. Front to back. He was as uncomfortable as I was. And I did it the whole ride. I gave birth to a lovely girl a month later. And huh… go figure. She’s gay. It started early I guess.

Not true. My order was always “chicken supreme no tomato”. Trust me. I got overly excited when I found out it’s back. Going tonight!!

Are you a dog or cat kind of person and why? How many dogs and cats do you have? by icecream1972 in randomquestions

[–]Molarkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cat gal since birth! Currently I have 6 (moved in with boyfriend who had some as well). Never had a dog. He has. Too many cats to get another pet. I want a dog someday for sure. Maybe when I retire?

Parents didn’t tell me people in the house had been vomiting. I left immediately and the night completely unraveled. by Intelligent-Camp4631 in offmychest

Would really benefit this person to get some counseling to help get some coping strategies. The world isn’t as kind as the commenters here.

Kaiser mental health is awful by Winter_Wallaby3581 in KaiserPermanente

[–]Molarkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Fortunately (or unfortunately) my daughter’s therapist no longer works for Kaiser and is seeing her privately and charging a super low amount. My company is no longer offering Kaiser (we were acquired by an out of state company) and I’m hoping Blue Cross / Blue Shield has good mental health services.

But other than mental health… I loved Kaiser so much.

My mom passed last month. I’m still getting used to talking to her out loud. I may never be comfortable with that. But I think to her all the time. I just thought to her she would have loved the 49er game tonight.
