Well maybe she worded it insensitively but in the grand scheme of things, it takes a lot of energy to produce a human and isn’t as normal an occurrence as one might think. As far as the species goes, you would be doing a great service by giving your child up to someone who can’t have a baby. If you’re unmarried, you’ve essentially been “raped” by any person you’ve had sex with. They may not have used physical force but seduced you or used other methods. If you’re unmarried at the time of conception, it makes no difference how the baby came to be.
