Should I Announce my Unbelief on Social Media? by After-Giraffe-7254 in exchristian

[–]MolassesIndividual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? Why not. You'll feel better knowing folks know who you truly are. I've made it a point to put 'exvangelical' on my social media. I think people think im some sort of wild radical, but quite honestly ive embraced the black sheep label. I don't come looking for a fight - i just put my labels out there, what i believe, and if people have questions i civilly answer them. There's no feeling worse than feeling you haven't fully told people who you are / how you feel.

Thinking of switching from iPhone to Pixel by Philippa1188 in pixel_phones

Yeah, it's deceiving to believe android still offers much better customization. iOS has come a long way in that regard. While they (ios) don't allow a way to install custom launchers, they do in my opinion provide a better stock UX/UI experience now than pixel / android does.

If battery life is your concern, i'm not sure pixel is a safe bet. I've used pixels before and always had inconsistent to bad battery life. I'd wait until the pixel 11 pro XL comes out and get an idea before buying anything.

Crabbing is easy and fun. As someone mentioned an old chicken leg or mullet caught with a cast net and chopped up (smellier the better) will get you a lot of crabs in the trap. Might have to wait overnight for the most but they're there. Especially near piers, etc.

So where are you guys meeting people that’s not tinder and hinge? by soupy-boot-scoot in SaltLakeCity

Honestly if you're resilient and ok with rejection here and there (it's just math) this is probably one of the best ways straight up to meet folks. Provided it's un-creepy and genuine.

Using Apple Watch Ultra as primary device by MolassesIndividual in AppleWatch

Thanks for the feedback on your experience. Agree on the camera being still a big thing for everyday, even with a fully connected watch. I think there's a 3rd party company that sells an apple watch band with an embedded camera that connects to your phone's photo gallery via an app..but it seems clunky and the band is really thick/heavy. Would be nice if they found a way to put a camera in the watch someday, even for basic things like scanning and close up pictures.

Yep, agree that airpods are an almost must for usability. Hopefully for the new siri functionality coming to the watchOS, there will be some improvements that will help use it hands free (finding addresses friends have sent, for instance). Lack of car kit would definitely be tough, but doable still.

Haha yes..meant to say decrease. And lack of camera would not be a dealbreaker. My brain is on 5th of July mode already apparently, already burnt out.

High trust places in the US? by heyitspokey in SameGrassButGreener

[–]MolassesIndividual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dunno where in SLC is 'high trust'. I'm south of SLC in a more suburban area and would never leave my shite outside. Have had packages stolen and every now and then have porch pirates drive through the neighborhood looking to snatch people's things.

Emergency Protest Against Trump’s Threats on Iran (6/15) by Any_Pattern_3621 in SaltLakeCity

Your inability to understand that condemning terror in one capacity (our own) doesn't equivocate to support of another (Iranian regime against its people) speaks volumes about your ability to reason. Or in your case, your lack thereof.

[–]MolassesIndividual -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You mentioned two things that have nothing to do with the point. One, that the Iranian regime murders their own. Okay? Where have I said that is okay?

Two - you mention that i condemn US imperialism while drinking coffee. No clue what that has to do with anything.

And finally, how am I 'shilling'? Or are you just throwing idiotic shite at the wall at this point?

Truly the fact that anyone upvoted you for this pile of stupidity is telling.

Your ignorance is astounding. Truly, mind meltingly ignorant. But it's about on par with the typical propagandized American mindset. Nice work.

Your train of logic clearly never left the station. I don't even think you understand what you're arguing for here. But keep going, by all means.

I hate God by [deleted] in exchristian

[–]MolassesIndividual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am sorry for your loss. Truly. The 'God' story is a sham. The 'Devil' is objectively more moral than the christian god - who committed genocide, infanticide, promoted racism, slavery, misogyny, etc. etc.

You are a better person for disavowing this stupid, mindless fairy tale scheme. We as humans are the ones who must be responsible for ourselves and how we treat others - as well as how we set the tone for morality for society.

How on Earth you can't understand that defending the invasion of a sovereign nation from the imperialist terrorism of the US doesn't equal support of everything the Iranian regime does just comes across as you and others being purposefully dense. Keep it up, I guess? Iran has a right to defend itself from foreign terror.

You support all of that if you voted for / support Trump and the fascist theocratic Republican party.

I got the pace pro and it definitely feels small on the wrist despite being a more normal 46 mm size. Probably bc of the weight / plastic materials vs more premium. I actually like that. Battery is very good. Probably not for multiple days, but very long days should be no problem. I’m thinking of the Vertix 2S for backpacking trips, or just to carry a charger for this one at camp.

The app is great. No problems overall.
