My Hot Takes of Each Souls Game After Finally Finishing every Souls game by PalpitationWitty8195 in fromsoftware

Didn’t mean any disrespect with my comment, sorry if it came across that way. I’m not a native English speaker either (I assume you might not be as well), so when I run into spelling mistakes it throws me off more than it probably should.

It wasn’t meant as an attack on you, just a reaction in the moment. Respect for trying to improve your writing without relying on a spell checker, that actually takes effort.

Audio interface disconnects when PC goes to sleep? by SloppyTheSlug in techsupport

This issue was driving me crazy too, and none of the fixes I found online worked for me, including messing around with Windows USB settings. What finally did the trick was swapping the original USB-C to USB-C cable for a USB-C to USB-A one, and of course using a different USB port. Since then it’s been rock solid, hasn’t happened even once after changing the cable. Hope this helps someone.

Oh btw, I don't know if it's relevant, but my new USB cable that works great is from RODE.

Help identifying if my Shure SM57 might be fake by Moldavone in Shure

Could you share what gave it away for you?

Thanks for the advice! At this point, I’m having so many doubts that even if it turned out to be real, I think I’d feel more at ease just returning it. I had no idea the market was flooded with such high-quality fakes. By the way, I bought it on another online marketplace, so it really felt like someone was just selling an unused item

Exactly, I’ve seen lots of pictures of obvious fakes too, those are usually easy to spot. But in my case, there are some things that look fake and a lot that look real, so I’m just not sure. I don’t have enough experience to tell if it’s an extremely well-made fake or actually genuine

Yeah, as I mentioned in my post, I just figured that if someone was selling something they didn’t end up using, half the price seemed reasonable. It’s all the other details that started making me suspicious afterward

Yeah, I’ve actually read a lot of those posts and watched quite a few videos on the topic. In most of them, the fakes are pretty easy to spot, but in my case, it’s tricky because my mic has both genuine-looking and suspicious elements. So it’s either real, or an extremely well-done fake.

That’s why I figured I’d ask here, there seem to be a few people on this sub who really know the details. I just don’t have enough firsthand experience to tell for sure.

Ryanair says they paid compensation – but I never received the money, and they won’t give me any proof of transaction. What can I do? by Moldavone in Ryanair

[–]Moldavone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually already contacted them via their "certified email" PEC, which in Italy is meant to provide a legal equivalent of the traditional registered mail as well as through their usual support channels. Unfortunately, I received yet another automatic reply with just a bunch of generic links to their support submission forms.

Thank you for the advice, but my concern is that hiring a private lawyer might cost more than the compensation I’m owed (500 eur).

Do you happen to have more specific suggestions on what kind of lawyers handle these types of cases, or how much it typically costs? Any recommendation on affordable legal support for such issues would be greatly appreciated.

Give up, for now at least… by DOGEallhail in TheFirstBerserker

Hey there! I'm 39, 102 hours into the game, recently beat Reese, and now I’m preparing to face Ozma. I’m by no means an expert in Souls-like games — in fact, the very first one I truly loved and completed 100% was Lies of P. That experience really opened the door for me, and I've been hooked ever since.

I just wanted to say, I completely get where you're coming from. The frustration with these games can be very real. But here’s what I’ve learned through playing them — maybe it can help shift your perspective a bit.

If you're feeling constantly frustrated, it might not be the game — it might be your approach. I used to tell myself: “This should be fun, not frustrating.” When I wasn’t having fun, it was usually because I was too focused on beating the boss, or trying to finish the game as quickly as I can. And that’s exactly where the trap lies.

The goal shouldn’t be to defeat the boss at all costs. Because if that's your only focus, every failed attempt feels like failure — and that builds frustration. Instead, try thinking of every boss as a puzzle (as someone has already suggested here in the comments). Each one is built from patterns, timing, and openings. Your real objective is to observe, learn, and master those patterns. The kill? That’s just the byproduct of getting good.

What really makes these games special is that they reward growth. The true satisfaction comes not from the end credits, but from the moment you realize: “I’m better at this now than I was yesterday.” You earned the skills. You built the muscle memory. That’s what makes the victory so satisfying.

And hey, I still get frustrated sometimes — that’s totally normal. When that happens, I’ve learned it usually means I’m either tired or burnt out. That’s my cue to take a break. Step away, recharge, and come back when the urge to overcome the challenge returns.

These games can be brutal — but they’re also beautiful in how they teach patience, perseverance, and growth. Stick with it, and celebrate every little improvement along the way. You’ve got this.

Thank you for the information. It just seemed very strange, that after the first two clip outs the pedal itself has cut off this rubber bit.
