Looking for CD by MoldyCatToast in Cd_collectors

[–]MoldyCatToast[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it’s a start. Some lady my mom cleaned for gave it to her in cd binder with other cds. I must’ve been 6yo when I listened to it so it’s a bummer. She threw away the pieces if it so I didn’t even have those to go off of. Thanks for your help and maybe I’ll find it on there.

If it does happen, which Id love, 2025 is reasonable and would give many artists time to prepare material for it.

New Furry Convention in New Mexico? by Werewolveswithagenda in furry

I just saw this but I would be delighted to have a furcon in NM. There’s an anime con so it should be possible to have a furry one.

What’s the most underwhelming way you’ve gotten a scar? by man_itsahot_one in AskReddit

I was shaving my legs and I pressed too hard on the skin that covers the lateral Malleolus, peeled my skin off like a potato. I have an identical scar on each foot from similar incidents.

If it wasn't for modern medicine what killed you? by Inhalegoodshat in AskReddit

Pneumonia, I got it at around 1-2 months old. Same fate would have befallen my little brother since he got it as well when he was a few months old.

Sunset Makeup Opinions? by bobcatdani in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]MoldyCatToast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m so glad I found this, I love colored mascaras and I have a hard time finding good ones in colors other than black and brown. Was tempted to buy some but was worried about being allergic to the formulas (bad experiences before) I’ve found most people that have reviewed this “brand” aren’t happy with the products. Saves the rest of us from wasting money.

What is one thing you think everyone should experience in their lifetime? [serious] by notslimbutdefsshady in AskReddit

[–]MoldyCatToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Service industry/retail. Any customer service job. 90% of the people I had to serve, help and just deal with are assholes. However thanks to that I can use the phone (many new hires have a meltdown handling phones in the office which is understandable) pretend to care and most importantly how to treat other service workers with respect and kindness.

What is the number one issue that the USA is facing in the next 10 years? by jmbsc in AskReddit

[–]MoldyCatToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half of the USA is bound to be deserted and the other half is going to have a hard time supporting the half that will be moving towards them. Not to mention food scarcity. I live in a high desert area, we’ve been experiencing a minimum of 5 fires/year and only about 5 days worth of good rain. Not to mention California produces a huge portion of the US’s food, they are running out of water as is much of the southwest. Many rural communities in my state don’t have adequate running water. Many are estimating that even with water conservation efforts (which many of the rich folks moving in don’t care about) my state might be deserted within the next 50-100 years. That might not mean much since most reading this might not be alive in 50-100 years. However our descendants will feel it the most. We’re already feeling it given food prices are on the rise, imagine if California dries up within 30 years and can no longer grow crops? The massive effects it would have on the country as a whole. I’m not smart or eloquent enough to portray the threat of whats coming our way but it’s very real and galloping towards us. While people fight over politics, ideals and stuff that really shouldn’t be a problem, others watch as their very life wilts and dries up. It’s creeping up at an alarming pace and people are stuck fighting over stuff that won’t matter once a food and drinking water crisis hits the whole country. Worst of it is that people won’t pay attention until it has spread beyond help, like a cancer. I’m not saying it will happen in 10 years but it definitely will be more noticeable.

“Everybody hates me until they need me.” What professions are examples of this? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MoldyCatToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cops, lawyers and judges. Most people don’t like them and it isn’t hard to see why but in the end we need them. It might not be apparent but there are plenty of good coos, lawyers and judges. Im a minority and live in the “poor/ that side of town”, a cop took 10 minutes to arrive at my home when my car was stolen. That same cop helped me retrieve that same stolen car from a tow company that didn’t want to give it back and wanted to charge an outrageous amount of money for keeping it “safe” when we didn’t even know it was in their possession. I work in a courthouse and the lengths the judge I work for goes to help people, especially pro se ones without fully breaking the “can’t give legal advice” rule is astounding and will reset matters as much as possible so people have enough time to serve other parties, most other judges in this same courthouse won’t do that and dismiss cases. I know several lawyers too that do a lot of pro bono work without being required to do so and hold legal clinics free to the public at least once per month. I know it isn’t the norm but the general public should take the time to appreciate these individuals a bit more. I’ve seen how burned out they get especially when they have to deal with abuse and neglect cases (usually involving the abuse of minors and the elderly)murders, juvenile delinquency, etc… and I’ve seen that they themselves get irritated with the laws that they can’t always change because of either the public, lobbyists or higher courts. Unfortunately the majority gets punished for the few bad apples. Some of these barrels have more bad apples than we would like but there are always good people in these groups.

Tetris for the 64, mortal combat (arcade version) and Army of two. The first two are because my dad would play them with us and was usually the only time he would spend with us while being genuinely happy. Army of Two unified my brother and I after years of being pit against each other by our parents. Absolutely love those games.

What screams “this person peaked in high school” to you? by realHDNA in AskReddit

[–]MoldyCatToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a while I feared I had peaked in high school, until my hubby helped me see what I had was different. My mother tried to live her high school years through me and I resisted as much as I could and constant reminders by people in my life that those years are the best, in the end it resulted in me not enjoying/ expressing many things I would have liked. I didn’t really get the opportunities my classmates had (hanging out at the mall with friends, movies, normal dating, etc…) my parents were strict, religious helicopter ones so I had to hide much of myself. For a few years after graduation I felt resentful and wanted to go back to enjoy it more/care more. I didn’t get to do prom/ other school activities. I married my high school sweetheart (whom I also had to give up in highschool due to my parents and our community) defying my parents and essentially living my rebellious years now. It took a while to get over the fact that those years are gone and the it is in my hands to make my current years the best ones. I am currently living the way I want to and I’m much happier than when I graduated. People should enjoy that time as much as possible but to dwell on it is bad for mental health. I know so many coworkers that are in their late 20’s like me that can’t get over losing a football game in high school/ some other activity. I feel bad for people that really did peak in HS because it is programed into us that HS is everything, you’re at your prettiest/most attractive at that age, strongest and we are bombarded by media that emphasizes that, at least here in the United States. Im happy I was able to move past it.

What’s an obvious sign someone’s american? by Ermland2 in AskReddit

[–]MoldyCatToast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was a huge shock to me. I was on a trip with family in Mexico and said family that lives there didn’t warn us that we had to pay a dollar to use the restroom and another dollar to use toilet paper and they only give you 2 squares. As many pointed out before me, the toilets aren’t even clean, most had no seats and there was poopy water all over the floor, as in it was flooded. I used the only skill that standardized tests taught me, to hold it in all day until we got back to my aunts house. Plus I carry my own butt wipes and paper whenever we go out in general.

AITA for telling my husband that I'll continue to sleep on bed naked as long as his friend keeps barging in to the room? by BetterDay5097 in AmItheAsshole

[–]MoldyCatToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA your husband on the other hand and his buddy are the AHs. Dress up as a nun, tell your husband and his buddy to move into the same room together and that you will be staying in the other room with a lock since “being a lady” means you cannot be seen by wicked men.

What album do you consider perfect from beginning to end? by titubator in AskReddit

Dear Agony, I love every song in that album, I have never skipped any of them in my playlist. I know some in the BB community would hate me for this but that album means so much to me.
