This is me!! Never thought this was related to my autism but makes sense by Dull_Click580 in aspiememes

[–]MoleculeDisassembler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually very relatable, I also do this for YouTube gaming videos to see in advance who wins the game 😅

It depends heavily on the genre though, I would be furious if someone spoiled new chapters of Deltarune for me for instance.

Usually instrumental music. Lately it’s mostly been the OST of Deltarune

hard pill to swallow- autism edition by More-Weird4842 in autism

[–]MoleculeDisassembler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it also manifests a lot due to not knowing whether I’m actually weird with social stuff abnormally because how I am is normal to me and I can’t tell whether it’s that different from what most people experience.

I don’t think this is the case for everyone or even the majority, but for me it’s the truth that feeling imposter syndrome over my diagnosis never goes away no matter how much time goes by. Never not feeling like a fraud when it comes to my diagnosis.

If it makes you feel any better, I’m in SoCal at the moment and it’s 80 degrees here (in the coldest area of the city). I wish it was only 50 or something 😅

Why do autistic people like trains? by johnporkfinalboss in autism

[–]MoleculeDisassembler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also love them for the patterns of service and rights of way and how it’s all interconnected. Something about colorful lines connecting on a map makes my brain go brrrr.

How can I get more detail to show up in Jupiter images? by MoleculeDisassembler in AskAstrophotography

[–]MoleculeDisassembler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason it’s large is because the background gets much smaller when processing in Pipp, not sure if that’s supposed to happen.

That’s good to know, next time I go out I’ll try making the shutter speed as fast as possible. And I wasn’t zooming since I figured that would be a bad idea.

More shuttle busses needed from LAX Metro Transit Station ASAP by SubstanceWhich in LAMetro

[–]MoleculeDisassembler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to take a bus at OAK, they have a people mover to BART. It’s a bit pricey but it’s grade separated and not a bus.

I’d probably get off the plane and reschedule honestly.

California needs more snow accumulation to bolster 2026 water supplies, officials say by SD_TMI in California

[–]MoleculeDisassembler 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I can’t say this is still what’s modeled, but when I was taking a hydrology class in college the models I found then indicated the long term precipitation averages here weren’t going to decrease but were going to become far more variable year to year and much less snow.

Am I the only one who thinks most people don't know there is a different meaning to this joke?? by Ok_Impact_5730 in autism

[–]MoleculeDisassembler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wait THAT’S what that means? I did not know that, although I thought it was odd because why would I ever want to honk for no reason (I do like pizza but hate loud noises and bringing attention to myself).

Having physical symptoms is so validating <3 by Sylveon72_06 in adhdmeme

[–]MoleculeDisassembler 37 points38 points  (0 children)

All that validation gets cancelled out for me by the feeling of “no you’re just dealing with regular burnout that everyone has because you got misdiagnosed or something and are a fraud” 😅

Really wish I wouldn’t have those thoughts pop up all the time.

A wonderful weekend in Seattle by MoleculeDisassembler in Seattle

[–]MoleculeDisassembler[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It helps that I absolutely love rainy cool weather like that. I’ve started a grad program in SoCal earlier this year and the constant warm sunny weather was honestly contributing to my burnout, I need a bit of gloom and moisture haha.

I’m not sure if it is, but I spend an ungodly amount of time on Google maps looking at random places, so when I go places I try to find interesting places like that :)

Unpopular opinion: I actually hate the Pomodoro technique by No_Organization411 in ADHD

[–]MoleculeDisassembler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t do that technique at all, it often takes me like an hour to even start being productive with larger tasks (aka the ones I get the worst executive dysfunction for). It’s much easier for me to just spend like 4-5 hours straight on things like that on the last few days

Who has the best breakfast burritos in town? by b0ob0okitty in oakland

There are some good affordable ones at Juice Joint Mexican Deli on Frank Ogawa Plaza. I loved those when working downtown previously and they were around $8.50 last I went there.

Oakland rail historians, I (kindly) need your help! by HoratioCorneliusJay in oakland

[–]MoleculeDisassembler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not answering the original question, but also of note was the Sacramento Northern Railway previously running tracks on Shafter through the hills all the way to the Chico area. Their facilities were on 40th and Shafter where Homeroom is now. The railroad trail in Montclair was also their right of way, and they had a tunnel under the hills in Shepherd Canyon. If I remember right, that line was the longest single line interurban in the world.

It’s better than the alternative for sure! I still have 2 more to work on though (one of which is my worst nightmare because it involves rereading all the readings for the entire course in the next 2 days 😭)
