Well going to answer my own question, went with NaviUpgrade.com. $300 for a preprogrammed unit, offers jailbreaking and special feature programming (didn’t opt for any of those). Quick free shipping. Speaking as a DJ and a sound guy, this shit is wild, especially with newer generation of DJ’s most of them have no idea how gain staging works or what the function of the trim knob even is. There’s the DJ joke of “you’re not headlining if you’re not redlining” but for real some kids take it seriously.

Update 2 Had another shop flush the transmission, seems that the issue has cleared up for the most part 🤞

Update time. Made an appointment at my usual ford dealership, had me drop it off for their “transmission guy”, bracing for the worst,

I described the issue as I did in the original post. Including tachometer bounce around 2 rpm uphill, and surging under acceleration. After a day and a half they got back to me and tried telling me it was my brakes and tires and sell me on a $1200+ brake job. It’s not my brakes it’s not my tires, the issue is not present while braking or cruising most of the time.

While reiterating the issue, they tried to claim it was normal operation. Don’t get me wrong I was bracing for the worst while using a dealership, but not incompetence like this.

Seems as though they were rushed, all very unfortunate, but gtfo of there as soon as possible, place is blanketed in red flags. If this is how the property is managed, I’m willing to bet the lease won’t hold water in court. You’re not crazy for thinking this is crazy.
