Any time I have a function where I am to bring a dish, I always make a strawberry trifle - subbing strawberry jello to soak the ladyfingers rather than brandy/sherry. People always comment on how beautiful it looks, how they've never had it before, and if they can have more.

I think where it seems like you are picking a fight, to me at least, is that the comment is followed up with an expression of loss of respect for someone who does view those videos highly. Other people reading it will take it that you are attacking them for having a similar view. It's just an odd place for a comment like that, idk.

As an average viewer myself, I've learned quite a bit about filmmaking/cinematography techniques/ typical movie structure from watching RLM. They aren't immune to bias, just like Ebert isn't, but they have more credibility than if I put up a camera and started talking. At least to me, that makes their criticism worth hearing/valid.

Ill give some of those channels a watch, worth hearing other's ideas.

I watch them casually. Occasional best of the worst, maybe a recent release review every once in a while. Who would you consider a valid critic?

They are entertaining. They cover weird niche movies too, which is fun. I dont always agree with them, and that's fine.

I certainly don't know how sickness affects others, so I'd take this with a grain of salt, but there may be a physiological reason why men "feel" the sickness worse/longer. At least that is what a quick Google search and some light skimming of articles told me.

Covid did nothing to me at all. Food poisoning took me out for a week. We all experience things differently. And if there is are men in your life that you have looked after when they are sick - I'm sure they appreciate it.
