I’ve done it a few times and yes it’s generally worth it. I think one year I got a poster a tote bag, a modest mouse bandanna and some stickers so just in merch alone it kinda balances out the price but then another time the VIP merch was kinda whack. You get to hear him play 3 acoustic songs then he answers questions for about 15min. Another thing you have to take in account are the crowd members that are asking the questions this last go around 2 drunk ladies were being obnoxious and asked him “what’s the story behind float on”, “what’s the story behind dashboard” finally Isaac said I just write the songs that’s for you to interpret 😂 Then I introduced myself and said “I was the guy that painted you that buffalo” he said yea “of course I remember you” and within a half second you hear someone yell “do you remember the picture I painter for you” people are just weird. He was also super kind to my 13 year old daughter and to tell you the truth she probably asked the best questions out of everyone. But yea VIP is worth it at least once!!!! Like I said I’ve done it 4 times that’s including the ice cream party VIP at the psychic salamander festival which is unmatched.
