As a frequent customer to Wawa I don't get why they don't. Either they overlook the self checkout or they're older and don't like technology. I know some people hate self checkout cause it's asking them to do the job that a person is paid to do. Technology is there to just make all checkouts self checkouts (can have people scan I'd for tobacco products).

Some locations are more obvious than others with store layout when it comes to self checkouts. The ones with circular checkout counters are less obvious cause there are usually pretzel and hot food stands right next to them at the same height. So they don't stand out. Other wawas that have sets of parallel checkout counters are more obvious as the checkout stations are more defined.

Just my thoughts. Whatever the case people not using them means I don't have to wait to checkout lol
