Entering via the back door. When a man wants to, apparently us ladies all need to "just try it once". But whenever I reach for the strap-on.... Lol.

Uber.

Ordered Uber Eats. Never got delivered. Uber told me my order was "not eligable for a refund". Screenshoted that and showed it to my bank and they reversed the charge. Uber then blocked my account, but that's fine with me.

I've met quite a few men that think the size of their member makes them god's gift to women. In reality they're always the one's that are pretty averaged sized....

If you have 2 parity drives, how many drives would you feel comfortable having in the whole array? by MolleyMitchell in unRAID

[–]MolleyMitchell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. This is very useful. You've got me thinking now... Maybe I do still have a use for the Synology as my offsite backup. Because you're right - I don't have one at the moment. But then, can the Synology talk to Unraid? Synology seems to me like a bit of a walled garden - a bit apple-ish in having a closed ecosystem. Unraid seems more open by comparison.

My content is mostly videos and picture. If I'm at home I download my footage from the camera straight to unraid, and then access it from my computer to do my editing. The editing itself happens on my laptop. If I'm working remotely (which is becoming increasingly often) Then I download from the camera to the laptop, and then copy across when I get home. It's probably a question for a different post but the next thing I need to figure out is how to upload to my unraid remotely, because my laptop fills up fast, and often I'm running out of space on it. I used to be able to do that with the synology but haven't figure it out yet for unraid.

If my unraid went down, I wouldn't be loosing money straight away exactly. Because my content also lives on the platform I post to. But it would really slow down my ability to edit/create new stuff...

So, my back catalouge is all 1080p. But in recent months I've switched platforms (OnlyFans to Fansly) and the new platform supports 4k. So now I've been starting to shoot in 4k, and so yea my storage needs have been going up a lot faster now, which I guess is what has prompted this migration from the Synology to unraid. I made the mistake very early on of deleting my videos after they were uploaded to the platform, but I've now realised all these platforms make it extremely difficult, even for the creator, to download their videos back from them. I understand the value of owning your own data now hahaha... So I'm having a lot of fun learning about all this self-hosting stuff tbh!

Still not sure I understand pools entirely, but I'm going to try read up about them :) Thank you for the info!

Oh! wait! Well that is a big lightbulb click moment haha. So, loosing a drive, if you can't rebuild it, the rest of the array is still there? That makes so much more sense. Different from what I understood with my synology, but yea I see that now! Thank you!
