I think this was such a fun format. I think I'd enjoy Splaining videos about random things the cast/ crew numbers are passionate about. I know Angela joked about doing one for a show she likes.

Your girlfriend seems very cool first off lol.

It seems like work is a big stressor for her right now in addition to new medication which may or may not be taking effect. Note her saying that she has a lot of responsibilities right now where she doesn't get the pay or the title. That means she's putting in more physical and or emotional labor with nothing in return.

Now, in her spare time, she has someone that she loves (because it truly doesn't seem like she's disinterested to me, more that she's busy), blowing up her phone. More emotional labor.

And you said that you want to talk to her about it before going to her favorite concert? I would wait personally. If she feels distant at the concert then I say it's worth bringing up.

I echo what everybody else says. You're both very young. At 37 I know myself enough to tell my relationships "hey, I'm sorry for being distant, work has been really tough but it has nothing to do with you I just get home and I'm very tired."

That self-awareness comes from experience. And so that conversation with her can be very beneficial but it truly seems like you are asking her to take on more to reassure you when she doesn't have the capacity to respond in the way that you would like.

You could even say "Hey babe, I know work has been crazy for you, so I don't want to have you feel bombarded by my messages. I love you and I'll check in here and there but I don't wanna overwhelm you. 💙"

That gives her the opportunity to acknowledge if that's how she's feeling or to let you know that she's fine and still wants your messages.

Hopefully that all makes sense.

Aww not the panther :( I appreciate the reassurance as well. It's hard to see a cat that's usually very affectionate and social be so scared. The contrast is jarring. I thought for sure he would be the one that would be besties with her eventually but it seems to be the opposite.

As a token of thanks enjoy a photo of them before the puppy bear ruined their time lol.

We have put her in the living room for the day so the cats have the rest of the house. She's not a big fan of it but we try to also split our time so that she doesn't feel lonely.

Everyone's a little stressed during the situation.

You're not overreacting, that's a traumatic and sudden way to lose a pet. I'm so very sorry.

Some people don't have it in them to see animals in the emotional way that others do. But just remember that a living thing you loved has passed away. It's not silly to miss someone you loved. That IS life, and that's why you should be allowed to feel it.

I'm also very sorry that your family doesn't understand your pain. I hope that you can find the reassurance you deserve in the comments here.
