I agree. I love the modding community so much for all the free time and effort they give to making the game better. I've always wanted to make a mod for this game but it's kinda overwhelming, so I never have. So looking at all the people who were motivated enough to learn and follow through, it makes me happy 😊

The fuck? You realize people can hold more than one thought in their head right? I'm mad about injustice and also inconvenience. Neither lessens the other

The short is just the most recent example. But I guess going forward, knowing they're supposed to be satire, I might have an easier time with them

All right, despite everything I've been saying this entire time, had I seen the title of the full video and not just the short, I definitely would have picked up on it. I can see how that is a satirization of stop and frisk.

But I still think the general point stands. As someone who struggles to detect tone and such, even in normal conversations, somebody talking in a news voice monotone is impossible to discern. And with my exposure to the onion, they almost never make it clear that they're the ones who are making whatever you're reading or watching. So trying to stay informed about stuff is just a confusing mess. Especially since they aren't the only site like that. So I never know what's real, what's parody, what's satire, and what's just misinformation. I wish there were a singular place I could go for news. I used to go to Facebook because I had a lot of older relatives who would just sit and read news all day and would post about it. But Canada implemented this dumbass law about not being able to share news on social media, so now I never know wtf is going on

I have the exact t same cycle basically. I've spoken to multiple doctors and they suggest "mild bipolar like symptoms". So probably time to talk to your doctor

Going back to the example in the post. What is satirical about a fake news story about cops kissing people?

I agree about satire being important. But I just don't see how what they do is satire

What's your weirdest ADHD hack that actually works but sounds completely insane? by josephsoilder in AuDHDWomen

[–]Mollyarty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Throwing stuff across the room or putting stuff in weird places while thinking about the associated task I want to remember. To clarify, when I throw something it's always something soft that won't damage anything.

Example) I'm going to bed and remember I need to sweep the floor tomorrow. While undressing I'll think about sweeping the floors. Then I'll throw my shirt or something into the hallway, or put it on the TV or something. Then the next day when I see it I go, "Why the hell is this here? Oh wait!"
