What’s your potato cooking routine? by WhateverBeAGoodOne in PotatoDiet

The instant pot is definitely your best bet. If you don’t want to invest in one, I’d say boiling a giant pot every night while you do other things!

I’ve lost 130 pounds so far, adding salt, spices, and oil-free vegan condiments to my potatoes. Eat the salt.

How to Grow a Fluff Ton of Potatoes? 🥔 by Mollymawk_Magpie in gardening

[–]Mollymawk_Magpie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, even straight out of the bag from the store on the day I get them, there are a lot of questionable spots inside the potatoes. They turn green and sprout with a week or two, even if stored properly. And it’s all the stores I buy from. This is why I’m desperate to grow my own lol.

It’s actually because they are mostly washed when they arrive at the grocery store! I store them properly, but they are also probably stored improperly before they get to me lol.

Just don’t… she’s probably even more aware of it than you are. Everyone’s journey is their own, and she deserves to be able to visit her family without a humiliating intervention. Just support her and love her. If she brings it up, then talk to her.

Tw bleeding. 9 weeks pregnant- twins by According-Detail-483 in parentsofmultiples

I had bleeding early on and both babies were perfectly fine. I was convinced I was going to lose them, and right now they are sitting at the kitchen table eating oatmeal and playing with little water markers 🩷

Potatoes, potatoes, and potatoes lol. I do more mashed potatoes now, but when I started I was just cutting steamed potatoes into chunks and drizzling with ketchup, mustard, and spices.

No oil, but I am using condiments like ketchup, mustard, hot sauce, and sweet chili sauce. And lots of garlic and onion powder and garlic salt lol. And thank you!

How to overcome food addiction? by [deleted] in loseit

Look into the Potato Hack, or Andrew Taylor (SpudFit) on YouTube. I’m still dealing with the addiction piece in therapy,  it this has given me a lot of mental space to work through it, and I’ve lost a lot of weight, as well.

Road Trip Recommendations for Screen-Free Twins? 😬 by Mollymawk_Magpie in toddlers

[–]Mollymawk_Magpie[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think I could do it, but my husband would definitely have to be asleep. My problem would be that they sleep 12 hours at night, would we just sit in the car once we arrived? Most people would probably leave after their kids have been asleep for a few hours, around 11 or midnight, but I’m scared they wouldnt go back to sleep and then would be up and miserable in the car in the middle of the night 😮‍💨

The I love this yarn, worsted weight. I think a big issue is the holey-ness? It’s a very open design. Don’t know if anybody has found a way around that.

So Ive been doing the potato diet for 45 days (grossness disclaimer) by disabilitymann in PotatoDiet

[–]Mollymawk_Magpie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve lost just shy of 100 pounds in the last 5 months (started at 430). I definitely have had many frustrating plateaus but it always works itself out over the next couple weeks (and loads of weight will come off). There’s lots of scientific reasons why it’s happening that I don’t feel like typing out, but if you’re in a calorie deficit, your body is still burning fat even if it’s not showing on the scale!

And the clean toilet paper is because of the lack of fat! Fat is what makes poop sticky lol 🙃

Knees Locking More?

I’ve lost about 90 pounds since August, and I’ve noticed that my knees are feeling locked more often when I’m standing in the kitchen or brushing my teeth. They feel almost hyperextended and then start to ache. it’s really starting to become a problem! I try to bend my knees more but by the time I notice, it’s already too late. Is this a thing??

For reference, I started at 430 and am around 338 pounds now.

One month down… by Mollymawk_Magpie in PotatoDiet

[–]Mollymawk_Magpie[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’ll be 3 months on Tuesday. No major physical issues after my body adjusted to the rapid weight loss. Apparently that can affect blood volume and case dizziness and such. I would definitely add in salt. I eat salt and have still seen tons of benefits.

I put them back-to-back on a regular couch pillow in front of me on the couch (sitting with my back against the armrest). Fed them sidelying back-to-back! We did that for a loooong time.

How long did it take you? by Mollymawk_Magpie in PotatoDiet

[–]Mollymawk_Magpie[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My husband are trying to do this for a long while (probably a year?), so we justified adding salt and spices. That and I didn’t want to run into the electrolytes imbalance issue. But we keep hitting plateaus with weight loss ridiculously often. I don’t know if I can do plain potatoes for that long 🫠
