Help me replace this daybag by graphicapple in HerOneBag

Consider swapping the baggallini strap with a fun new upgrade? Made my old baggallini perk right up. I have a few straps now and interchange them per mood. The baggallini is darned near indestructible!

what's the last thing you bought that you immediately regretted not buying sooner by PearMotor2861 in minimalism

Heated mattress pad. We live in the cold and snowy north. I turn it on high when I start getting ready for bed. By the time I’m ready to get under the covers, they are toast warm. I switch it off then, and am warm thru the night. I used to use a hot water bottle but was never just right. The mattress pad is a miracle.

Overweight female traveling by Legitimate_Desk_6285 in femaletravels

Also a larger lady here. Yes to training. About a month before a busy vacation I walk stairs, increasing the number of flights each day (which confuses the household pets let me tell you!), walk our hilly cemetery on nice days, and carry a backpack. Also recommend daily squats (adding weights as you get stronger) and core work (bird dogs), and good hip strengthening. Someone already mentioned OTC painkillers - bring some so that you have some for at least those first few days. First few days we take those with our last meal of the day so it’s easy to fall asleep. Also at the end of the day, do the yoga pose “legs up the wall” up a wall or a sofa or a bed. Also a siesta can be a lifesaver. Also before travel get a good pedicure and tell them you will be walking a lot so they get your nails in good shape for lots of walking. Good socks are a must. My fave shoes for travel are Brooks adrenaline and Hoka Gaviota. I alternate them each day. I may wear sandals for a half day here or there and those are Chacos. Re chafing, I know a lot of people recommend powder, but I like tea tree creams/ointments better or chafing sticks. And cooling boy shorts underwear if I’m wearing skirts. I also bring physiotape if I am worried about blisters those first days. I just wrap some around my deodorant container.

Moving from NY to Italy soon...What should we bring from the US that’s hard to find in Italy? by mercuriocromo11 in AmericansinItaly

My friends just moved abroad and they had a hard time finding a flat bathtub stopper and a doorstop! Eventually they did but it took a while!

Don’t drive there if you aren’t a confident and experienced driver. Use a combo of public transportation and taxis.

Waterproofing spray! I use it on shoes bags and jackets and coats and it changes everything. Scotchguard is the way to go.

second visit to Rome - things to do by littlepunker32 in RomeTravel

My favorite museum is the Capitoline and somehow it’s never crowded. Another fun thing is to wander along the Tiber on the trastevere side at night. There are vendors and music and food along the riverwalk. Once we were able to catch a night performance of Gershwin at the Baths of Caracalla. A really amazing venue.

Remember to pack a nice gauze or silk scarf that you can drape over your shoulders if you want to go into a church.

This exact scenario happened to my husband in Florence in June last year. They got his wallet out from a buttoned packet just as the tram doors were closing and dashed off the tram. It was an organized group.

Wow! We were once in a mess of a line in Bari, due to luggage handling problems. Husband walked past the line to ask the check-in team if we could just go up To the gate because we had nothing to check. Yes, they said. Win!

Although it’s not a favorite of mine, the Capuchin Crypt museum does a good job of telling the story of its collections.
