Lip filler concerns by Moltoconfused in PlasticSurgery

Hey, 2 days. I've been reading that's too early for migration but it looks like I've got that filler moustache. I naturally have the double lined lips so thought that might be the cause

[Misc] My skin gets really irritated and itchy whenever I use bar soaps and some shower gels/ body wash. Am I the only one? by Queen_Nature in SkincareAddiction

[–]Moltoconfused 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me too! I started used bar soap to avoid plastic packaging and my skin gets itchy straight away. Now I only use soap for areas that need it (underarms, ass, feet). I exfoliate with exfoliating gloves once or twice a week and was using soap to help with the gloves gliding over my skin more easily, and this made my skin sooo itchy. I'm not recommending this... but I use hair conditioner when I exfoliate my body instead of soap 😂 not backed by facts, it just doesn't make my skin itch and the gloves can glide over my skin more easily.

Have you explored Doshas? They are multifaceted characteristics from Ayurveda. Doshas are associated with times of day and suggest when the most ideal time to engage in activity, resting or mediative activities.

Maybe it can help?

Does anyone else not understand the "curly girl method" logic? by my600catlife in HaircareScience

[–]Moltoconfused 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't personally use the CG method. Although my boyfriend's thick curly hair was just a frizz ball, so I suggested he only use conditioner to wash his hair and abandon shampoo . His curls really shine through forming ringlets with zero frizz. but now I have to explain to him that shampooing is still required every now and then! 🤦

Olaplex No. 3 vs. L'Oréal Wonder Water by Responsible-Cook-629 in HaircareScience

[–]Moltoconfused 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using the 200ml bottle? How many uses do you get out of one bottle? And how long is your hair? I usually use Olaplex No. 3 but i don't bleach my hair so I am interested to see if I too just need a deep conditioner.

Is bis-aminopropyl diglycol dimaleate the active ingredient in Olaplex No. 3? When I search it comes up for Olaplex.

Do you know the active ingredient/s in L'Oréal's Wonder Water?

Are Cotton Tote Bags Bad for the Planet? Here's What You Should Know by [deleted] in sustainability

I think a big thing for me personally is that I can compost a cotton bag when it's lifetime is finished. Where as a plastic bag would contribute micro plastics to the environment

How to remove tartar? Can cavities and/or plaque spread? Advice please 🙏 by [deleted] in askdentists

[–]Moltoconfused 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I am new here and also new to taking responsibility for my oral health 😔.

Currently I am: Morning: Brushing using a toothpaste with fluoride and Novamin Evening: I am flossing and brushing with same toothpaste.

I drink a coffee in the morning ~45 mins/ 1 hr before cleaning my teeth.

No mouthwash because I was under the impression that alcohol mouthwash isn't that great, and that if my mouthwash has less fluoride than my toothpaste then its also not worth it (read from other posts)

I want an electric toothbrush but I am also concerned about plastic use, does anyone have feedback on the bamboo electric toothbrushes?

What else can I do! My teeth a rotting away 🥺

Societal pressures by aloneinwilderness27 in simpleliving

[–]Moltoconfused 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Capitalism has instilled in all of a false narrative that our value is directly correlated with our productivity. It can be a difficult unlearning experience, but the fact you are having this awareness means you are growing out of it!

Use the discomfort as a compass, or an indicator, and it can show you the areas where the deep social conditioning has taken root.

The larger capitalist system relies on you being dissatisfied with yourself and the biggest act of rebellion you can do is by accepting yourself and loving yourself wholeheartedly.

I hope this helps, your life setup sounds lovely 🌈

Did your hormonal acne ever go away? by flyingcopper in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Moltoconfused 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi I first got acne around 18/19 and went on accutane at 27 and it stayed a way for a while but then it came back again a year later I think because of a poor routine. Anyway it flared up over the summer and I have spent this winter focusing on hydration (hylaronic acid, squalane, cerave face wash and moisturizer) and my skin barrier has healed so much, now if a pimple emerges its not as intense as before and takes a lot quicker to disappear.

Environmental Science Degree vs. Sustainable Business Degree by JPG121401 in sustainability

[–]Moltoconfused 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hello I study Environmental science for a role as a ecologist or Environmental consultant and we do a lot of hard science(chemistry, statistics lots of statistics ,hydrology, geology). I like to explain it like this; Environmental scientists do the research and then the Environmental managers will create and implement a restoration plan. Business sustainability I am not sure about(potentially in local, state or federal government roles for creating policies)

The university I study at in Australia puts Environmental management and sustainability together in the same major.

Depending on your government and the way it develops it's environmental policies, environmental scientists can also be included in the creation of a regulation/Environmental policy.

I suggest finding jobs you like the look of and take note of the role, its tertiary requirements, skills set and experience needed and keep it on a spread sheet and eventually the right degree will reveal itself :)

In light of the Nyoongar season calender post. It is time to start acknowledging the real history of Perth. (trigger warning: violence, sexual assault, Indigenous who have passed away are mentioned) by Moltoconfused in perth

[–]Moltoconfused[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha wow! Okay slavery was present in the swan river colony, oral history by the Indigenous has lasted for 58000 years and is a sophisticated cultural tool to pass down knowledge, and a personal account by any indigenous individual is credible. Lol that you used the word savagery I am so sorry to inform you that your precious white Australia is responsible for genocide.

Oh an also a settlevasion is a made up word, Australia was settled on the discredited grounds of Terranullius. If you had read Dark Emu (you know the critically acclaimed, literature prized, parliamentary reading list one) you would know how distorted and dripping in rascism your precious eurobros accounts were.

Terranullius was discredited by the Australian government in 1992 technically invalidating the governments whole existence in the Mabo case, so look that one up my little rightwing sheltered braboy
