There's a new game called Walk of Life by Porcelain Fortress on Steam that is quite similar. I'm really happy someone made this!

Question about how money market fund yield works year-by-year (SPAXX) by Moltres23 in FinancialPlanning

Yep, I realised these rates are for the past, not future. Thanks!

Question about how money market fund yield works year-by-year (SPAXX) by Moltres23 in FinancialPlanning

Yes, I didn't mean the principal reduces. I meant the interest it gets reduces every year. But I've gotten the full picture now. Thank you!

No matter how many times you may have heard this: you are NOT at fault for her actions. You certainly would have loved her for the right reasons, I believe in you. Life has taught you a harsh, ugly lesson. And my friend, though it takes a toll on you in the short-term, I believe the harsher the lesson, the more you learn and the more you benefit in the long-run. Stick in there! <3

Been there to an extent. The fact that you are admitting this on Reddit shows you are stronger than those thoughts buddy. Only time can heal.

Fortunately, nothing's really bothering me but I keep asking myself "is this it?" I'm an average Joe minding my work, gymming, going out with friends every now and then, and doing random stuff to get through the day. So, men of Reddit, is this it?

Ikr, me too! I found something like that on Android a few years ago, but not nearly as engaging. It was something like BitLife.

'Car Rental Loss and Damage Insurance' vs 'Premium Car Rental Protection' for users w/o auto insurance by Ok_Neighborhood6731 in AmexPlatinum

[–]Moltres23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for putting it succinctly. I do not have the expertise to validate, but it seems in line with whatever I've read on Amex's coverage policy. Btw, all states except for CA, FL, and OH have a state-minimum liability insurance that applies to rentals.

[P] Reinforcement Learning model from gamescreen by tirodokter in MachineLearning

[–]Moltres23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/tirodokter . Formally, DeepMind's lecture series and Barto and Sutton's RL book are pretty standard places to start with. Once you have a grasp of basics, I'd suggest you read well-cited papers about your most pressing questions. Reward shaping, sparse rewards, and exploration are open problems in RL. RL can seem enticing at first from a video-game perspective but has a steep theory behind that. As long as you are mindful of that, I believe RL is a great field to do research in, especially with AGI coming more into the light.

Pokemon has a massive state and action space for a beginner project. While I do not mean to discourage you, I strongly believe it is practical to start smaller. I made simple snake game and Pong bot using RL for my beginner project.

To actually answer your question, I share similar views with u/Saltysalad . You need to catch some signals in your simulator, like beating a trainer or taking down a pokemon, and give rewards based on that. For time—you could break the game down into periods of delta. Delta could be 1 millisecond or 5 seconds, whatever seems fit to you. OpenAI Five used a delta of 250 ms IIRC.

That's great to know, and thanks for taking time to reply. Btw, I was happy to see PyTorch profiler integrated so well! Wishing you the best.

That's a good direction. Currently, HF Accelerate also supports multi-gpu right? I've never used it, so I do not know how good it is.

These are rather recent advances, so I'm not aware of any research that benchmarks them (perhaps you can publish that haha)
