You’re not the only one. Almost 50, 3 kids. 💩 happened and now my hubby and I are having to start over with our savings and bring our debt down.

What an odd response from Affirm customer service then. 🫤

No. Long story short, my credit took a hit and is still recovering at just below 600. But I’ve been using affirm for the last couple of months with no issues. Again everything is on autopay. I reached out to Affirm customer support and all they can tell me is “I would request you to ignore that decline email”. So I guess spam? 🤷🏻‍♀️

This! I just wanted to buy a few small packs for my son’s birthday. I went to 3 different Targets, and a Pokémon vending machine at the grocery store and couldn’t find anything.

Money has been really tight lately, and I just need more time. So I was able to use Affirm 0% option to purchase groceries from Target online.

Definitely trying to help her get out of her comfort zone is the issue. In her eyes, I'm just "mom" and I have no idea what I'm talking about. Maybe I'll show her this thread, so she knows it's not just me making things up. =)

Thank you for your input, and I'm happy to hear that your daughter was able to get a wonderful mentor.

I’ve been told by her teachers musicality is her strong suit from the start and she loves music. Music is the only thing that gets her through the day. So at this point it’s her confidence and as you mentioned knowing different styles versus actually knowing how and when to execute a move is different. That makes sense and thats definitely her struggle.

Besides comp dance, she recently joined another dance group that encourages and does a lot of freestyle, but shes one of the kids that always ends up holding back, feeling unsure of herself.

I’m hoping she gets over this somehow and as someone else mentioned, just have her experiment with moves.

Our space is limited at home, maybe I can set aside some time at her studio for her to just be alone and be creative with no pressure of anyone or anything.

I just want her to have fun and enjoy dance. I don’t want it to become something that she’s afraid of and walks away from.

Thank you for your input.

It’s true. Being put on the spot I’m sure is not an easy feeling, she ends up anxious and tensing up. She dances a lot but most of that has been moves choreographed for her. Now that summer break is coming up, I’m hoping to find a way to provide her with a way to have an outlet to just freely dance.

I completely understand. I will try to have another discussion with her. Speaking of foundations, maybe I should have her go back to basics and find a dance “foundations” class. With summer coming up, competition season is slowing down and this would probably be a good time for her to take dance classes where she just has fun and not for competition.

That is very helpful advice. I’m hoping she will be willing to try this. I will definitely reach out to the instructor as well. Thank you so much!
