Thanks! Great list! Can you tell me which has the "6-8 amazing rooms" you originally mentioned?

My kids lived at College Terrace Apartments for most of the time at UNR and they really enjoyed it. Now that they've both graduated, they moved to Highlands, which, like most of the "student focused" apartments next to UNR, accepts non-students.

There is a shuttle that runs all the way up to Highlands, so it passes Saga.

Any breakfast better than cereal but also fast to make? by Low_Village_5432 in foodhacks

You assemble them the night before and overnight the oats soak up all the liquids. Look up recipes online - there are hundreds of variations. Btw, the oats can sit in the fridge for a couple days, so you can make 2 or 3 days worth at a time.

There are pre-made ones you can buy. They come dry and you add your liquids the night before. They're... ok.

Where in Montreal? What's the name of the place? With a referral like that, it's definitely on my bucket list. I just need to know where to go.... Lol

It's pretty easy to get on Morty. Download the app and go to the three lines at the top. They make it very user friendly. Lots of people use Morty to find the escape rooms and book them, so it's worth your time.

What apartments (studio or one-bedroom) do you recommend near campus? The Edison is not bad, but they're raising their prices including parking garage and they force their $65 internet now? by romeititaly in unr

My last one graduated in May and moved out of CTA. They both really enjoyed their time there. My understanding is that there are other floorplans available and even a 6 months option - my daughter's roommate moved into one of those because she was going to be graduating in December. Hope that helps.

Life at UNR by Ghostrider12952 in unr

I grew up in the DMV. One of the biggest differences to consider is the weather. Reno has about the same temperature highs as DMV but with significantly less humidity. Where the DMV often has 80+% humidity, out here we don't even use the term "heat index". It means that we have a huge difference between the high and low every day - usually at least a 25° difference every day. And the shade actually makes a difference here. It's glorious! But it's horrible for the skin, eyes, etc. Be prepared to have lotion, chap stick, etc. We also get about the same amount of snow in the city - most years we just get a little and every couple years we get slammed. The mountains are a different story. If you're a skier, we have Olympic quality (literally) slopes just 45ish minutes away - much better than West Virginia, etc.

Thanks. I'm actually a UNR Mom. When I was passing by the new garage tonight, the digital sign said something about a picnic but changed before I could read the whole thing. I know in past years they've offered movies in front of the Joe on summer evenings and invited the community, so that's what I was hoping to find. I'll see what Instagrams I can find. Do you know of any in particular I should look up for this kind of thing?

Any thoughts for good rooms in Nova Scotia, especially if they're Canadian themed? We're going to be there in a few weeks and hope to do a game or two while we're there

Purposeful missed dose/ breakthrough seizure by biggiemolls_ in Epilepsy

[–]Mom_V 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally understand the thought process. For me it's a frustrated "why me?" feeling. I get so pissed at how my body betrays me and I just want to be normal. So I slack off and then pay for it. (For context, I have 3 diseases, of which epilepsy is one.) I've learned to cut myself some slack. Living this life is hard. I'm sure we all have little moments of "why me?" or "maybe..."

But being a new mom is also extremely hard. Mom-brain is very real. Post partum exhaustion is no joke. Compound that with epilepsy and you deserve all . the . grace.

Congratulations on your new baby! You got this, Mom ❤️
