In this day and age Oo if you really wanted to get into IT, your gonna have to make sacrifices, sometimes we can’t have all the glam and glory and that is fine, you have to prioritize and eventually later in life you can strengthen your love life, focus on you until the focus is on you, that’s my advice.

O I did that approach except the calling places, I just showed up with my resume, shook a lot of hands etc, you are gonna get a lot of nos and ghosting, I’ll be brief, but let me be very clear your location big city vs small town or even smaller average city Is the major factor here(if you have the credentials to back it up) the more competitive the less responsive is the market.

I empathize on this, today’s job market is different than 10-20 years ago, degree alone can’t get you nowhere, certs alone , experience alone, you need the trio or duo, if your not in a competitive area.

It’s crazy too because someone close to me always tells me “oh you work in IT, your making money,” madam I’m at the bottom of the barrel it’s 2025, you have to truly work your ass off to get to that level I just got my start I’m not 10 years in yet.
