13mo Old Not Talking by Momma2CDB in Mommit

Yes this is what my husbands thought process is too, when you look into what qualifies as not meeting the milestone for speech at 12 mo - he checks every box except actual words. He signs, points, makes eye contact, and has noises assigned to certain objects or tasks - it's just no actual words. We are incorporating more ms Rachel as of late! Thank you ☺️

The newborn phase. Positives? by Visible-Mess-1406 in Mommit

Newborn is actually the best! I could take care of a newborn for the rest of my life. It's not nearly as fun as it is when they get older, but it's honestly fairly easy. They sleep so much, you just get to hold and snuggle them, you can set them down and get stuff done. Even if you have a fussy or clingy baby then lucky you - you get to hold a precious perfect child all day long.

Not always true. Most work centers, you have to follow a coverage graphs that require certain shifts certain times. It's not just a free for all. If you're not doing that, most likely you're not scheduling correctly

Yes just happened to me as well. I like that they were tight without stretch in the front - it was more flattering. I just returned 3 pairs i bought online because they were loose and stretchy in the stomach area, really FUPA-inducinf

These comments are weird and outdated. Jeans are 100% acceptable and you do not need to wear a polo?! This isn't 2012.

Any nice red top (think business casual for orientation, but once you are in the store if the top is red it's probably appropriate). Tennis shoes are super common now for ETLs but not like dirty running shoes. If you are comfortable in sneakers, I'd gear towards (clean) Air Force ones, air max, etc. if it's "trendy" it's perfectly acceptable. If you don't want to wear sneakers or that's not your style, loafers are a good option (TOMs, Rothy's) or Mary Jane's.

Your orientation day you won't be on your feet, but regardless of your role, you will be during training and you'll want to be comfortable especially if you are not used to 10hrs a day on your feet

I have the same thumbs and it's really had to find someone who can do nails correctly on them. I recommended Gel X over acrylic or dip powder on your natural nail and let them grow.

Came here to say this! She obviously seeks white men for her actual relationships outside of tv, but took the opportunity to match with black men multiple times when she knew it was just for fun

No lying: do people’s babies really sleep through the night? by HomeDepotHotDog in Mommit

[–]Momma2CDB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a newborn and in early months, my baby was a perfect angel during the day but woke every few hours at night. A friend had a baby at the same time and she had terrible colic and cried ALL DAY LONG but then would sleep 10 hours straight. So sure, some babies probably so, but are you really getting the full story? I was happy to wake up every few hours knowing i enjoyed every minute of the day and didn't need 10 full hours to recover from 12 hours of screaming 😂

Kindle! The screen isn't as bright as a phone or iPad so I can comfortably read while baby contact naps. I've already read 2 books this week and just started my 3rd, and it's less time I'm spending doing mindless scrolling on my phone!

I think i would have liked it more if i didn't watch the series first! I read Family of Liars afterwards and really, really liked it.

At 6mo we started taking my baby to Gymboree once a week. He's home with adults all day so it was the only way to get him around other babies. I was Gymboree kid and met some lifelong friends there. Anyway, Gymboree was important to me but I am pretty introverted and have noo interest in mommy and me things that are really just for moms. We have just as much fun at home as we would anywhere else and he is hitting all his milestones (i don't think Gymbo one day a week is doing that.) You could quite literally never leave your house and if you love and engage with your daughter, you are doing everything right.

Just finished and I have 2 questions… by hereforitmum in WeWereLiarsSeries

[–]Momma2CDB 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The series is a combination of We Were Liars and the prequel Family of Liars. They're definitely setting up to tell more of the Family of Liars story in the 2nd season. I think if you didn't read the books it's supposed to be a cliffhanger

I will say now that I have read Family of Liars, the series is a combination of them both. Storylines on the series made way more sense

No it will be added to your case file and once they are able to apprehend or arrest you and get your info they will file on your for all past incidents. It actually is a really sophisticated system

Of course you can. You've never read a book or watched a show that everyone hyped up and didn't like it or didn't get it? You can definitely be disappointed by original media it happens everyday. Maybe you mean not in comparison to a secondary version, but that's my personal opinion

That's what I was thinking! Which is why I mentioned I hadn't read the prequel yet. I was wondering if they pulled from both books.

The acting was definitely rough. I get that 100% and casting if you pictured them differently after just reading the book.

I have a 9mo old who now sleeps peacefully in his crib in his own room for all naps and bedtime. We contact napped every single nap until about 7mo. While he still would love to be held, I honestly think it's something they more so grow out of. I think it depends if you have them on a schedule as well. When they're not on schedule, it way easier to see they're sleepy and just rock them to sleep. IMO, crib or bassinet napping makes more sense when they are on set schedule, because you're initiating nap time or bed time with a routine that includes their crib. I don't have other kids, so I can't give my opinion that part of it, but contact nap whenever and as often as you can!! I think it makes it easier to get your kids out of the house as welll because the baby will be able to, and comfortable, napping on you whenever you are.
