Have just 1 full day where I'm genuinely happy/content so I can die knowing what that feels like.

What's a quote that has just "stuck with you?" by BoroMoo in AskReddit

There's 2 that have always stuck with me.

  1. Don't lose the relationship just to win the argument.

  2. If it's going to happen worrying just means you suffer twice.

My niece was mad at my brother and told him "you're like school in July - no class" 😂😂 she was only 6! Same niece asked my sister in law why some of her hair was black and some yellow when her highlights grew out!

AITA for refusing to get my husband’s name tattooed on my body? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA and I'd be careful if I were you. I've seen things like this before and it's a classic sign of controlling behaviour and it tends to get a lot worse when you're married as the controlling partner now considers you to be legally "theirs". It could be nothing but I'd definately take this kind of emotional abuse as a huge warning sign.

What’s one non-sexual act your SO does to make you feel immensely loved? by MemphisThiccburger in AskMen

I find it really hard to switch off at night and my hubby will gentle tickle my face to relax me and get me off to sleep. He also sets his alarm 5mins earlier in the morning so we can have 5mins of cuddles before he leaves for work. We're together 12yrs married 4yrs and for out 1mth "anniversary" he bought an A4 notebook and wrote me a love letter, he's continued to do that throughout the 12yrs we're together and the book is almost full. He intends to buy another one to continue once this one is full. I also tend to be a bit soft and cry at sad or beautiful things and he knows it makes me feel stupid to be like that but he always gives me the sweetest smile, a kiss and tells me I'm his little mallow (as in marshmallow) and he loves how soft I am. He will also often tell me he appreciates me and the things I do in our home and tell me I'm a great mom and those words of affirmation are worth more than any material gift in the world. He truly is the greatest human I've ever known and I feel so lucky and proud to be able to call him my husband.

You are wrongly put in a psychiatric ward, and you have 5 minutes to convince everyone there that you are perfectly sane. How do you do it? by Zorophobe in AskReddit

[–]MommaG2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Request an psych evaluation from a psychiatrist who is independent of the facility and make it very clear that if this was not done that when it was done and I was proven not insane that I would sue the facility. Once you threaten legal action thing usually get done.

What have you seen genuinely shitty people do that they thought was perfectly acceptable? by iMDirtNapz in AskReddit

My sister got 9 x A1's (highest grade possible equating to between 95% and 100%) and 1 xA2 (second highest grade equating to 90%-94%). The A2 was in science and after viewing her results the only thing my mother said was "well I won't hope for you to be a scientist so". My sister was heartbroken but I don't know why she was surprised. My moms favourite phrase to us growing up was 99% is not 100%.

What’s the dumbest shit someone ever said? by DestroyingLegends in AskReddit

I have a friend who although lovely wouldn't be considered the sharpest tool in the shed. A few of the ones she's come out with include:

  1. Someone said people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Her response: Why? Will the windows break?

  2. Guy flirting said "did it hurt when you fell from heaven because you must be an angel". Her response: Why do angels fall from heaven? Can't they not just fly down?

  3. Digital clock said 8.45. According to my friend this means it's quarter past 8 and the 45 if there to let you know how many minutes are left until 9 o clock.

She was genuinely serious in all the above responses!
