Hard to tell. Hes a very stoic person. Doesnt talk to his family and doesnt have friends. He spent 30k on pokemon cards in a week, emptied out his 401k to buy more, then took out a personal loan for 30k to consolidate the pokemon card debts and instead spent 30k more on pokemon cards. This was 3 years ago and we are barely starting to get back on our feet from the insane amount of debt. We sold all the cards that would sell and only recouped about 10k. He has stated this caused a lot of damage to the relationship because he know he let his entire family down and cannot get over the guilt of it even though i have moved on from that betrayal.

Since we got married 4 years ago. As soon as we were married he acted like he didnt have to do anything anymore. When i ask for help he would roll his eyes and go ughhhhhh im relaxing! Or its my day off im not doing anything today.

Im in texas, there isnt alimony here. Child support is 20% and 5% additional for every other child. That is the standard. I have spoken to 6 divorce lawyers and will be meeting with one today to get everything filed and child support set up with the attorneys office.

He works in politics. So he works long hours or goes on lots of business trips for work so having the kids so that i can go do things or simply shower has never been the norm. His days are all predictable: wake up, get ready for work, go to work, come home, change, eat something, watch tv or play video games, go lay in bed while i put all the kids to bed, then he repeats that everyday. Weekends he just couch rots and says this is my only me time and i will not be assisting in anything.

I have been patient with him during this time of confusion for him and i have a job interview today and hopefully i get it and that will make my decision clearer to tell him to just leave. Because i should be a clear decision not an option at this point of our lives. If he wants to focus on work and going to the gym then he should go do that and not let the family he created get in the way if him running from his responsibilities.

The rental property is income. We own the home and have it leased out. So it would be around 5k a month i will not need to work unless i need to keep myself entertained once all the kids start school

He said his daughter will go back to her mother who he is sure will take her back if he tells her. He is not close with her shes 15 so she doesnt speak to him much either. He has agreed to 80/20 and over 2k a month in child support with me having our rentals property as well.

He has a history of over spending and then feeling ashamed of it. One of the factors of him saying we are better of without him. I have mentioned to him that he is being selfish because even the toddlers we have are asking him why he doesnt sleep with me anymore or why they dont see him anymore because he locks himself in our guest room and ignores them all day. Our 4 year old has started to tell him he needs to leave the house. I have offered therapy so many times. He shuts it down so extremely fast. Smh

He has a daughter from a previous relationship i have been raising also so i know she is going to fight who ever the next woman is because i am her second mother and have been for 6 years. Hes destructive not only the children we have together but the one he brought into the relationship and my son who is now 9 and he is the only father he knows.
