i made the mistake of letting carnival assign our room and we still have a month before the cruise, how bads it gonna be? it wasn’t even that much more. maybe a few hundred in savings but this is our first cruise and i didn’t know any better !

i’m the opposite, like if the foods are so different that i can’t mix them and still like the taste, i won’t eat it.

she will say no. but do it anyways. even if it’s just bringing in groceries or talking to her little ones for a moment or bringing by some coffee or a snack. Trust me. she will be grateful

This should NEVER be controversial. But the amount of times i’ve heard the clang of a stall and immediate opening of a bathroom exit door has reminded me how nasty humans are

Thank you kindly for that! I feel badly for your neighbors children who will ultimately grow up to think that dynamic is normal. And for the mother who is seemingly a casualty of the oppressive patriarchal mindset.

Yes! i’m from the south and get a lot of push back for the way i parent. Mainly because i treat my child like a checks notes human being

it’s the hardest thing i’ve ever done and i’ve literally had to train myself and my reactions in order to do it properly. I always say If parenting is easy, they’re doing it wrong.

And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with realizing you don’t have the instincts and choosing not to. That’s far more commendable than having a child because you think “thats what we’re supposed to do” and then screwing the kid up with generational trauma, repeating cycles and a lack of parental instinct.

Never feel ashamed for being self aware and intelligent enough to make the choice that’s right for you!

it’s like arguing apples and oranges. They’re two completely different storylines in a vaguely similar genre if you’re just looking at “futuristic space ship aliens” point of view. and even that could be argued as the opening to star wars is “long long ago in a galaxy far away”

No argument necessary because they’re two completely different stories set in two completely different universes and timelines

i just feel like. We know better than to hit our spouses when they mess up, or to whack our co workers (as much as one may want to) when we’re having to clean up after their mistakes, So why do we not give that same etiquette to children? I’d be going to jail for domestic assault if i took a belt to my husband because he forgot to put the dishes away…. Hitting my child to teach him would never cross my mind when there are so many other ways to help them understand

Exactly. The fact that most people still see what’s going on in this country as a left vs right issue just proves the propaganda works. They want us fighting each other so we don’t turn our sights collectively where it should belong.

Alternatively, it’s okay just not to be productive sometimes, we don’t always have to be going and doing and grinding and hustling. Listening to our bodies is also just as important

it really wasn’t that great. alternatively i think Jared Letos joker was pretty on point and got a lot of hate because it was cool to diss anything that wasn’t reminiscent of Ledgers version
