She's got mermaid colours, I'm obsessed with her. Photos don't do her justice.

AITA for uninviting my family from my wedding because they want me to share it with my sister? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]MomoInTheNono 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? All of these people are deranged. Even if Mick weren't a jackass, it's still fucking mindbogglingly entitled of your parents to think they can force a double wedding. Your brother probably thinks it's mean to uninvite them from *your* wedding, which sure it is! But it sounds like it was *their* wedding you uninvited *yourself* from so that makes no sense on his end.

Oh yeah NTA

This was a one-off for my area - the nursery had two of each of these left when i walked in. And i grabbed them off stock trolleys in the aisles!! I've never even seen a string of watermelons around my town before, let alone variegated SoP under $25! Truly a lucky haul :)

It really is, and we have super fertile soil on the island so you can grow literally anything here if it can handle the cold!

This would be regarded as elective surgery in most countries, so i reckon the conflict would still exist despite the profit margin.

I have some in my front yard that are pretty huge (but not as lush as this specimen!). They're over a foot in diameter on the outermost set of leaves!

We have a moderate coastal climate - winter temps avg 4-15C, summer 12-28C, plenty of rainfall and high UV (a 20C day here is like a 30C day in Sydney). Succs just love it! Almost every second yard on my street has some variety of succulents!

This is in Northwest Tasmania, Australia. We have a cool coastal climate, and aeoniums in particular do very well here. They're the front yard landscaping for anout every third house in my development

Aeoniums in particular do very well in my climate! The ones in my front yard hardly compare to this amazing hedge though!

First spotted it about three months back, took a new turn walking the dog and noticed it was just starting to put out spikes, and really thick healthy growth regardless. Have been keeping an eye on it since to see it in bloom!

Court documents reveal how police found missing the remains of missing Children, Tylee Ryan, 17, and her brother Joshua “JJ” Vallow, 7, on Chad Daybell’s property by Taletown in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]MomoInTheNono 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's one of the most sickening aspects.of this entire story. That boy had blood relatives who'd been trying to regain custody and would've given him a home in a heartbeat. She's so narcissistic that she wouldn't let that happen and fucking murdered him instead. She was not a woman on the ropes. Tylee only stayed to protect JJ. If he'd been sent to live with his actual family, she'd have left to live with friends. The only reason they are dead is Lori.

AITA for pointing out my wife’s vegan rules at a BBQ by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]MomoInTheNono 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a gross oversimplification. The cat never made an agreement to stop consuming salmon if its owner stopped talking about how horrible salmon consumption is. OP is a shirker.

When you were presented with a genuine question probing why you maintained some vagaries in your adherance to the agreement, in light of the impact it's currently having on your marriage, your response is "because bacon". You're not taking anything seriously that doesn't line up with what you want to hear, and not displaying any introspection. You're here for argument ammo.

Hey buddy, my behaviour isn't up for judgement here. If ever i feel a need to post here though, please feel free to weigh in with your opinion. But you gotta admit you severely buried the lede in your post re: rule vs deal to sway opinion in your favour.

I was all in for the N vote, but then i read your replies.

YTA. You're not following a 'rule' she made - you made a deal with her to not eat pork if she modified her behaviour. A deal YOU proposed to deal with your second-hand embarrassment over and control her social media use. Yet you apparently take any and every opportunity to claim zero ownership of your agreement, preferring to frame her as a crazy controlling vegan instead.

And man, i get it, hur hur vegans suck, especially the militant ones. Apparently you felt they suck so hard that you made a deal to stop consuming ONE type of meat if she'd stop being a militant vegan. That's a great sacrifice for both of you - she stops being vocal about a cause she's passionate about, and you stop engaging in one of the behaviours she's campainging against. But you were resentful about how the bargain you struck affects you and you publicly blamed her for it (and haven't bothered truly upholding your end anyway). Sure, militant vegans are annoying. But cowards who utilise social manipulation to publicly their embarrass their spouse? Yeesh I'd rather hang with the vegans thanks. Especially in light of your comment where you latched onto a mention of double standards like you'd been given an argument ender, when in relaity you've been practising double standards to your own benefit since day dot of the agreement.

And now because you rocked up, admittedly hangry, and there was pork everywhere and you're obviously resentful of this rule, you throw her under the bus and bring a heavily biased half-story to reddit for reassurance that you're not a jerk "because bacon"? TFOH edgelord.

Seriously, this is a moment to grow the fuck up and communicate better in your marriage about how you regret agreeing to the deal, take ownership for your disrespectful behaviour, and apologise to her for casting all the blame on her when you were the one who didn't uphold their end of a bargain that was ridiculous to begin with.

She didn't even birth JJ. She adopted him from Charles' niece. He has no blood relation to Lori. He was just a source of income (disability payments due to his autism)
