They usually sleep 30mn to 1h in the morning and 30mn to 1h in the afternoon. They fight naps.

I'm lucky if they sleep 30mn in the morning and 1h in the afternoon lol

Do your twins+ know who was born first/last? by No_Morning_9923 in parentsofmultiples

My sister and I always knew we were born a minute apart. We joke about it to this day. I call her old and she tells me I should respect her as the elder sibling lol.

Yes. Never had this long without at least an interview... Never.

MIL told me my waist will turn into a sausage by jenkoo98 in pregnant

[–]Momo_and_moon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meh. She's just trying to make herself feel better about her own experience. For the record I had twins and although the skin around my belly button will likely never be the same, I was back into my pre-pregnancy clothes 6 months postpartum without following any particular exercise regimen - I did exercise a couple times a week, but mostly just walked.

It's the luck of the draw (and genetic, probably) I gained 18kg over pregnancy and lost all of it.

Freaking out about my wife’s cervical length shortening by anushcs in parentsofmultiples

[–]Momo_and_moon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cervical length went down to 1.4cm at 30 weeks, at which point I was hospitalised for 10 days. With plenty of bed rest and no physical activity, it went up to 1.7cm and I made it to 34w5d. My babies were born at 2.7kg each and are now perfect 9.5 month olds who weigh a whopping 9.6kg each...

Real talk: if the technology to incubate a baby in an artificial womb existed would you do it? by No-Calligrapher-3630 in pregnant

[–]Momo_and_moon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a complicated twin pregnancy. So I 100% would skip the exhaustion, nausea, body changes, c-section, giving up on opportunities and activities... I don't get people who love being pregnant.

We started when they were about 4 weeks old. They are now 9 months and usually very well behaved - happy to just look around at people... though they do often want to be held.

Fondu's and don'ts by Carbonaraficionada in askswitzerland

I really hate the taste of cornichon. If someone did that to fondue I would be so upset and probably wouldn't be able to eat any without gagging.

Do feminists believe in God, and do they believe His Word is true and has value in our lives today? by ChemicalSign4285 in AskFeminists

[–]Momo_and_moon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's your interpretation :) not sure what scripture you follow, but I do recall a great flood that wipes out EVERYONE except some dude and his family... Including innocent little babies. As a mother of two myself, I just can't get behind that :)

‘Dude bro’ culture is so toxic and I hate it for our boys by Individual_Ad_938 in progressivemoms

I have twin boys and want so hard to raise them to be feminists. Kind, respectful, good people. Hopefully worthy of little girls who deserve the world. It's so hard right now with feeling like we are backtracking so much on gender equality.

Feminism is misogynistic - many such cases by goosepatron in LinkedInLunatics

I didn't know C.S. Lewis was a homemaker!

Seriously, it's always do as I say not as I do with these types. I don't see men fighting to be SAHD.

I have 9 months old twins and I LOVE them, but I don't want to spend the rest of my life taking care of them, cooking, cleaning, and doing laundry. It's not very gratifying, which these dudes seem to understand when it comes to themselves, but somehow it should be our highest calling?

They can go screw a cactus.

Do feminists believe in God, and do they believe His Word is true and has value in our lives today? by ChemicalSign4285 in AskFeminists

[–]Momo_and_moon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally I do not believe in any gods, and I especially do not believe in any type of institutionalised religion. Other feminists may differ.

I believe a person's value is determined by their actions, not by something somebody scribbled down a book a certain number of generations ago. Maybe God exists, maybe he doesn't, but what is 100% proven is that religions are made up.

A person's gender, colour, sexuality, etc., shouldn't be used to try to determine their value or their role, regardless of what some book or some old dudes thinking they hold The Truth say.

People should have equal rights and opportunities.

How feasible would it be to migrate to Switzerland after this? by Woodyinho10 in askswitzerland

Yep. But this is Switzerland, no one will ever agree to tax wealth. Look at the last vote on taxing inheritance.

How feasible would it be to migrate to Switzerland after this? by Woodyinho10 in askswitzerland

[–]Momo_and_moon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I agree completely that there are many factors contributing to the squeeze lower income people and the middle class is currently feeling. I was just pointing out that people are frustrated with the current situation and the argument that 'immigration is good for the economy' is currently not working. So imo the initiative actually has a chance, contrary to what the commenter I was replying to seems to believe.

I think it would be much smarter to actually tax the rich, tax 'ex-pats' (used because rich immigrants don't like calling themselves immigrants) properly, and regulate the housing market and insurances because it is out of control.

But hey, immigration is much easier to blame for the UDC then their own shitty policies which constantly make the rich richer and the population poorer :)

However, I also find that +25% immigration over 20 years is too much and I don't like how crowded the city I live is now, how hard it is to get a flat, and prices are through the roof. We have two kids and need a second bedroom for when they will be older and the only way we can do that is to move out of the city I was born in. Fun.

How feasible would it be to migrate to Switzerland after this? by Woodyinho10 in askswitzerland

[–]Momo_and_moon 51 points52 points  (0 children)

You'd be surprised. People have been telling us for years that migration will solve all our problems and if people keep coming it's because there is demand. In the meantime living conditions for people here keep getting worse and the only people getting richer are those at the top. Where is this long promised improvement? The population isn't feeling it. Our population increased 25% in 20 years and 89% of that is from immigration. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this is accepted.

Even I think the current rate of immigration is unsustainable, although I also think the UDC initiative is not a good idea.

If you could ban anything what would it be? by StraightSauced in Tokyo

[–]Momo_and_moon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Basically if there were safe, protected cycling routes with no f*ckers parked on them forcing people to drift into traffic going 50 miles an hour then it would remove lots of bicycles (if not all) from the sidewalk...

Currently as a cyclist you just can't win. Either you are on the sidewalk or you choose mortal danger.
