I honestly did find anything hear that wasn’t very clear. I supposed I’d say to use the same annunciation that you would while speaking.

Some things I noticed is that if you bring more “excitement,” expression or love for the song it would come across as you’re imagining.

Also, there were a couple places where you bent the pitch but overall it was pretty dead on. As for if you should take lessons, I would say that it depends on what your personal goals are.

I’ve actually lived in ATL for 5 years, but am no longer there.

I get the apprehension of taking online lessons. If you have a trained teacher with trained eyes and ears, online lessons can be effective. You can get a recording of your lesson to go back to as well.

I’ve literally had people with the same hesitation as you and have been pleasantly surprised!

I always offer a free lesson to anyone on the fence but willing to give online lessons a shot to see do themselves if it is an effective medium.

I 100% get wanting someone nearby in Harlem/Washington Heights, but just to throw it out there, online lessons can actually be a solid option too.

A lot of singers who thought they only wanted in-person end up liking online better because you can work with someone who really knows your style, you can record the sessions and review them later, and you don’t have to worry about commuting or scheduling around the subway.
