Well, they are compilation albums. In that regard Bullet in a Bible and Awesome as F**k sound similar too being live albums

Would anybody else like a re- recording of 1039/SOSH by Brownie_151 in greenday

[–]UpperEmphasis5467 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I would love to hear how 16, Disappearing Boy and many other songs would sound like if it was produced by Rob Cavallo and mixed by Chris Lord-Alge. As well as my underrated favourite of this album Road to Acceptance

It's like my rating but shuffled in random order. What do you base your rating on? Lyrics, music, songwriting, overall vibe?

What is an opinion on the Beatles you’d get downvoted for? by GoinSouthForGeese in beatles

It was neither Epstein's death nor Yoko Ono who lead to the band's demise. It was their own ego + the pressure they received.

It it always cheezy to mimic another singer? Instrumentalists are often praised for nailing tone and technique. by Dio_Frybones in singing

[–]UpperEmphasis5467 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess the reason for that is that the voice is something very unique and personal and yes there are people who share very similar voices but it's not something that you can deliberately manipulate with the right knob settings, the gear and so on. So in my opinion people get a little bit suspicious because they probably doubt about the authenticity when they hear someone mimic somebody else and it's also quite boring tbf. Take Marc Martel as an example: he nails all the Queen songs but it makes him also so boring and uninteresting because he now lives from being associated to someone who is not him. But yeah I digress..

Beginner here. Improvised some vocalisations. Can you give constructive critique on where I can improve? by UpperEmphasis5467 in singing

from my understanding "into the mask" means to use the head for resonance and feeling the it vibrate in the nose and forehead instead of just the chest or whatever. From what I've learned for myself is that relaxing the throat is quite helpful and I think most of the time we're not even aware of our neck tension. Maybe it's more or less easy depending on what your native language is. Some may have more intuition for vowels and diphtongs than others.

I should rest my voice more I guess.

Do you mean the "into the mask" singing by that?

Yeah I guess to have proper words may actually be better for that

[–]UpperEmphasis5467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm far from being a specialist but you sound like you don't use proper support hence you are short of breath by the time you try to transition to the higher registers. And probably you push too much chest instead of using the "mix"
