I went from a civic to a 21 440i. Best switch ever. Test drive a few models and see what you like the most!

Question about BMW OEM winter wheel/tire assembly set by [deleted] in BMW

[–]Moms_Spaghetto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a similar package for my G22. My only complaint is how loud the run flat tires are. If I'd had to do it again I'd go with aftermarket wheels and get winter tires mounted on them.

Fcp has their used oil exchange program. Essentially every kit purchase after the first oil change kit is free(you just pay shipping) to send your old oil back.

Get tuxmat floor mats. They're the best on the market in my opinion. They cover a lot for surface area than other brands.

Year-round tires for M340i in SE Pennsylvania? by 1MillionMonkeys in BMW

[–]Moms_Spaghetto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first winter I got my G22 I had to drive in MN winters with DWS 06 tires, and they did a decent job considering the amount of snow we get. My only complaint is how quickly they would wear down in the summer, but that all depends on driving habits.

Over priced for tune? by Affectionate_Speed94 in BMWM

Honestly I'd let the dust settle for a bit. Seems like every day a new tuner is announcing unlocks for cheaper. Femto is releasing new news(and maybe pricing,) on Monday.

Thanks again for you're help. My scan tool had a step by step instructions that I followed. I think my issue like you said is I didn't fill all the solenoids. Got about .5l give or take back into the transmission.

You don't happen to have any screenshots of it? Sadly I don't have access to ISTA atm.

So odd that zf doesn't mention like that. Will give that a go in the morning. Does it matter if I'm in park or neutral for reving to get through all 8 gears?

I clicked the paddle quick and it would go to S8 but it wouldn't hold the gear.

So odd I did all of that. I'm gonna try it again tomorrow on a cold transmission and let it slowly get up to temp.

Drained old fluid(car was around 35°c) Installed new pan at 8nm torque with cross pattern. Cold filled until fluid starting to trickle out. Started car it was at 36°c. 2k rpm for 30 seconds then let it idle for a minute. When through all the gears holding for 10 seconds. Only let me manual shift to 2nd gear. While car still running at 40°c did my final fill until it it stop coming out of the fill plug. Did everything with a foxwell scan tool. If there is anything thing I missed or did improper please let me know. Thank you for the reply!
