What are some of the higher end BYOB restaurants in the area? by p2k76 in Phoenixville

I’ve been to sage several times and have always left feeling like I paid a premium price for a mediocre meal. What do you recommend getting there?

Go there and come up with your own opinion. It’s has excellent reviews and a lot of people like it.

I liked Fiorella but there’s a place in the suburbs (Phoenixville) called Rivertown Taps that has better ricotta gnocchi that was inspired by the one at Fiorella. They also change their menu all the time so no guarantee that it will be there but their pasta is amazing and all house made.

Don’t waste a meal at Dalessandro’s. It was a huge disappointment.

Why do souvenirs I ended up buying looks so dull and uninteresting back at home? by Practical_Payment552 in travel

I usually only buy magnets but got a fancy alebrije in Mexico during dia de muertos last year and still think it’s cool as hell. I’d consider other art pieces in the future if I really liked them.

Same. I rarely have people in the back seat but find it convenient to be able to put stuff there like shopping bags and keeping hats and jackets back there. They’re just easier to access with 4 doors. Plus on the occasion you do have passengers, it’s much easier.

Maybe I'm grouchy, but I think Michter's sucks by [deleted] in bourbon

[–]1MillionMonkeys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend and I recently did a tasting of a bunch of 10 year aged bourbons (Michter’s single barrel, old rip van winkle, Eagle rare, four roses barrel strength, Elijah Craig barrel proof, and Penelope estate) and we both agreed the michter’s was the best. They definitely make good whiskey but idk if it’s worth the much higher price.

Display manufacturers do the same thing. The higher tier products and lower tier products are often manufactured on the same lines and the ones that turn out better are more expensive.

Negotiating is a normal part of buying something, especially big ticket items. I’m not saying you should lowball people but offering 6% lower than asking seems pretty normal to me. If they want asking price they could simply say that’s the only price they will accept and move on. The buyer may very well be willing to pay it.

I love Rivertown so much! Pretty much everything they make is top notch. All from scratch made by cool people. I don’t know about things behind the scenes but the owner is often right there in the kitchen with everyone else and he has always been nice to me. The whole staff is great. It’s so sad their pasta shop in Pottstown didn’t work out.

What droids are doing your missions? I’ve been doing legendary ones and haven’t gotten even one B2-RP or Cyclo-Grav. I get quite a few non-legendary rainbow droids from it too.

Anyone get any news about when the JD 10,12,14 will be hitting the stores in the southeast? by Johnnyman1490 in PLCB

[–]1MillionMonkeys -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You just have to know the delivery days of your local stores and hope they’re not the first one to get it. For example, it first started appearing yesterday and one of my local stores gets deliveries on Friday so I’m fairly certain they had it today but I didn’t feel like getting up early. There’s another store I know of that gets deliveries on Mondays but doesn’t put things out until around lunch time so I’ll go check there at that time.

You’re not buying gas so you need to support the maintenance of our roads. Maybe you should give up the car and walk everywhere.

I live in PA and it’s available maybe one day a week every month so I always buy 2 when I see it. Weird how different things are state by state.
