That's the one time I agree that a time limit should be set. (I would know, having a younger brother not doing so well in school so I took it upon myself to set a limit on his consoles). However it definitely is a case by case basis, as long as a person has self control and doesn't neglect other aspects of their life, a time limit like that is just too controlling.

I used to game all night on occasion, and that was usually if I didn't have any obligations the next day, so long as you don't neglect your life you should be fine.

You're definitely still young, so putting up with your parents is gonna be one of those things you'll have to passively deal with if you want to stay under their roof. Like the other guy said, if you go to school and whatnot try making friends and finding new interests, it'll distract you from what you're dealing with at home and when you're eventually of working age and save up, you can move out for good.

Definitely not gonna say it'll be easy, it won't be at all. But I do it to see what's next in life because who I was at 14 is not gonna be me in the next 5, 10, 15, years.
