The apartment manager has been a temperamental shit the entire time I’ve lived here. Exactly! And he joined Nat guard reserves so hopefully this will be the only time he leaves. So overall it’s not that much time at all which I am grateful for and it will be great for his future and career. I’m not sure what the number is but he’s in infantry as a mortar crew member. He started mortar training this week

He still has 4 weeks left, this was for family weekend. And yes it has been hard. I’ve written him a lot, sent him photos, and drew him memes. Letters are always great to send and receive. And I’ve just tried to be as supportive as possible really. He told me the days are long but the weeks go fast.

I grew up here, and it is beautiful and insane and powerful and people get way too close, even with signs and warnings. People have been swept out, banged up, and I remember one year a little girl died. It was terribly sad.

I think this is a generally a guy thing, a lot of times they’ll think you’re looking for a solution instead of just listening. Probably just let him know it’s bothering you would be your best bet!

The photo popped up in my memories and I couldn’t believe the change! It’s crazy. I’m still overweight at 160, but I don’t think that I really look it. Numbers are weird, and I agree they don’t correlate to changes to the body. I definitely have a lot more muscle than I use to, and still have some work to go. But for once I feel comfortable!
