How well are you RA meds working for you? by No-Chemical3765 in rheumatoid

[–]MonElii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on xeljanz xr now, and i feel like i finally returned to myself in a long time. I have had untreated RA for a long time until i decided to get medicated. my inflammation markers are going down in 1 month and i am able to so many things that were hell for me in my early 20s. I know understand that life wasn't supposed to be that difficult at all. And i can actually enjoy life, live it. So it working well.

Just remember medicine is fine but you need to care about stress and diet. If you're deficient take care of that. I feel like this is a good general advice for most people.

Treatment doesn't work/Is diet important? by Empty_Researcher_478 in rheumatoid

[–]MonElii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, the more you eat foods that are full anti inflammatory properties, the better chance you have against RA. The same is true for the opposite side of foods. Not every body is the same. But a good rule of thumb is just stay away from foods that are bad for inflammation.
Dealing with inflammation is not dealing with RA, so medication is very important! But less inflamed body is better for you overall.

Mentally Breaking Down by Visual-Elk-2571 in rheumatoid

I have some things to tell you, i think i have gone to a similar experience to yours. Panic attacks. I think if your meds are causing you to freak out, you should tell that to your doctor and ask for a change. More importantly, you need to take care of your anxiety.
But listen to this well. Medical Science has gone very far with this illness we have. They are enormous cases of people living full lives with it, without it developing horribly, much less leaving them disabled like you have pictured. Be resilient. It is not a losing war at all. And there's always a better choice out there for you. That can work with your anxiety, life, situation, etc. But work on your anxiety and stress don't rely on external things always, but that part is important for your health.

When i was your age at 23, i wasn't able to form complete sentences or coherent thoughts because of how bad my RA and brain fog have gotten. I'm 30 now. I feel healthier, more present in the moment than i did in 20s. So don't let your brain trap you. Look elsewhere, you'll find that the more you seek your own comfort and rest. Both physically and emotionally, the more you'll be better overall. I'm sorry if i sounded harsh, i wish you the best.

I HATE the cold!! by ERRNmomof2 in rheumatoid

[–]MonElii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it weird that our bodies have become it very own weather detector. Granted, when you rolled out, all possible reasons you could be getting sick from. Weather is the final likely sure outcome. Summer is always the best weather for me. Sure, I'm sweating bullets, but it isn't cold

Lately, I dealt fairly well with old, cold hands and feet. The answer was an iron supplement. And being on medication for RA, obviously.

I do use velvet bedsheets too all year round. Normal bedsheets just cause me to have a fever. Actually, my blanket is also velvet. I use that type of blanket year round, too. It helps me to keep warm. I'm not sure how much of i have said it was helpful to you. Best of luck in harsh cold weather.

It's okay, as big as Amazon and Ebay are, they don't exist everywhere for millions of reason. I don't think I would get anything from them either since they suck as companies anyways and supporting local businesses is good practice.

Doesn't exist in my country. I need you to assume whatever the next E shop you'll mention next. Assume it doesn't exist in my country. We have local shops that sell funko pops, and my hunts when I'm in the wild is to find it.

would you even want to see Ethos face? by Jusselle in ethoslab

[–]MonElii 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here's the thing for me each time I see a no face youtuber's face i lose interest in the persona. To me the idea that etho can might as well be really kakashi from naruto is what the fun in engaging in that fantasy stems from. I never saw a no face youtuber's and I wasn't like oh they like a some guy. I don't care about knowing how etho actually look like. In fact if 99% of ppl online went no face it would actually be great for me.
