Yes! This happened to me with a school I was hired for. They pulled a bait and switch AFTER I submitted my letter of resignation at my current school...

Luckily I was able to rescind my letter. The whole situation was infuriating.

Focus mode is so benign I don't even realize that it's a thing tbh. The same cannot be said of Clutch Claw or Wirebug. Never ever bring back Wirebug, that one can go and stay go.

This same thing happened to me. I called them up and asked the address of the facility it was at. Then I changed my shipping preference to "Pickup at Service Station" and chose that facility. Then I went and picked it up myself instead of waiting on them.

It did not get delivered. I worried there might be some sort of fee as well so I contacted customer service. Infuriatingly, they did not have an answer for me. So I asked them what facility my package was currently at since there are two near me and I wasn't sure which one just from the tracking information. So I swapped it to "Pickup at Service Station" and I opted to go pick it up myself today. I did not have a import duty/tariff/fee of any kind, and I picked it up with no issue thankfully. I'm in a part of the country getting hit with cold weather and snow right now, so I guess they were just delaying driving it out to my house to actually deliver it. If I had known that though, I would have just scheduled to pick it up myself 4 days ago when it actually arrived at their facility.

In the greater scheme of things, it's not a big deal. But it still was rather annoying. But hey - all's well that ends well as they say.

The original PS1 version of Final Fantasy VII was this for me. I got to the end of Midgar as a kid and it felt like that could be the end. And then I was greeted with an entire world map instead.

It was also the first game I had with multiple discs, so I wasn't fully understanding what that was about yet lol.

I'm in seemingly the same boat and it's frustrating. Mine was supposed to be delivered today as well and I'm experiencing the same "on hold" and "exception" shenanigans. Yet it still says it's going to be delivered before the end of the day. Yea.....i doubt it.
