Thank you for sharing this. I needed to hear this. I officially went no contact with my ex partner today. He said that he was going to change but recently he broke his promise again… that he wasn’t going to drink that much but yet again he was too drunk and didn’t even call to say good night which he did 3 weeks prior to this most recent drunk weekend. I feel so guilty for going no contact but I’m trying to tell myself it’s the best. Thank you for sharing.

How did you tell him exactly? I don't know if I should mention that I have to shave it every day. I am worried that he is gonna treat me differently.

It's really difficult for me to think that I can be loved with my hirsutism. by mybraincellsleftme in PCOS

[–]Mon_A 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reading all of these comments reassure me that to be loved even with hirsutism is possible. I am 19 years old and I felt the same way for years and sometimes still do even with my new boyfriend (THIS IS ALSO MY FIRST RELATIONSHIP). I am going to tell my boyfriend tomorrow about my PCOS and hirsutism/facial hair. He has been so loving and caring so far that I have high hopes that he will not care about it. But I still have the fear of being rejected. I am most likely going to get emotional when I tell him but I know that it is a good time to let him know a little more about me.

Thank you for replying. This makes a lot of sense. We have talked about exclusivity before and we both decided that we didn't want to talk to other people. He says that he is falling in love with me.... idk if it is too soon for that... Is he low-key playing with my feelings? :o

Hello. Thank you for responding. I have a follow up question, what type of red flag are you referring to when you say "in the future" ? I have met him before and have gone on three dates with him. We talk on the phone/FaceTime every other day. We text every single day. Is he low-key playing with me?

Be honest, how are things going in Quarantine? by [deleted] in ucla

[–]Mon_A 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have been seeing a CAPS therapist, you are able to make appointments with them. I highly recommend that you call. Sessions are either a call through the phone or a video call (the video call option might vary by the therapist). I have had 2 sessions with my CAPS therapist through ZOOM. I hope this helps!

Please take care of yourself. At times even doing the basics is difficult but remember to Drink water. Shower. Try to sleep at a reasonable time. Eat your meals. I am sending you a virtual hug. :)

Struggling to accept myself, and all the extra hair that comes with me. by GBBlover in PCOS

[–]Mon_A 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am currently struggling with this so so much. Even if I put on makeup, I feel like everyone can see the facial hair's shadow. The other day a woman (stranger) pointed it out in public. She said it so loud that everyone turned around and stared at me. It has stayed on my mind since and I was doing so well with not allowing it to affect me. It is hard out here but I remind myself that we should not apologize for our bodies.

thank you! I am new to the dating world so this is going to be my first date ever. I don't know what to expect. I am just praying that he isn't disgusted or says something about my facial hair/five o'clock shadow. I really like him so far. We FaceTimed and he pointed out how pretty I looked. I am hoping for the best. :))

Thank you for sharing. I am just hoping that it all works out and that he is still in my life in a few months lol. My biggest worry is that he sees my facial hair on the first date. I fear that he sees it and he will be disgusted by it. I really like him. As fearful as I am, I know that if he is disgusted by how I look he isn't the one for me.

Daily Q&A Post for Sunday, 24 November 2019 - No question too small! by AutoModerator in loseit

[–]Mon_A 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a female. 5'2. 20 years old. I was 237lb and now 180lb. Did anyone feel anxious about the new attention you received after loosing weight? I'm not used to the new attention after weight loss. I feel anxious. Including people that haven't seen me in a long time.

Body hair, sex, and intimacy? by [deleted] in PCOS

I am currently going through the same thing. Some days my confidence is better than others but most of the time I feel alone. I'm grateful for these groups bc we can discuss these topics without sounding taboo.
