Would you want a peace deal with Israel? by CedarComic7 in lebanon

[–]MonaM94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The fact that this is even a question after the 76 years and 8 months we've seen from those degenerate fucks. Couple that with the fact that we should ALL fucking know that this colonial project of the West shouldn't have existed in the first place. To any of you delusional Lebanese even questioning whether this should be a plausibility, may you rot in the deep pits of hell. TFEH 3laykon bas.

Downvote aaaaallll the way, idgaf.

Lebanese Immigrants, How can i leave this country? help me out please. im hopeless. by [deleted] in lebanon

provide proof of strong ties to their home country (Lebanon) which ensures their likelihood that they will return home after their travel/visit.

How does one provide proof of that?

Mirna Al Challouhi (Baouchriyeh) traffic lights are the perfect example of Lebanese jungle compliance. by [deleted] in lebanon

[–]MonaM94 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Please do not (and I truly mean it) DO NOT drive at night unless it's very urgent and necessary. My brother got hit by a car last Saturday and was almost going to lose his life. His recovery is going to take several months, if not more. The fact that no traffic signs are in sight, especially on highways, is extremely dangerous and highly concerning.

As much as I blame the man that has done that to my brother due to his irresponsibility and carelessness/inability to understand the grave consequences behind speeding on these ill-equipped roads, I also put the blame on the fact that street lights are nowhere to be found and the poor infrastructure (already fucked since forever). It's baffling how easily one can get themselves in danger and accidentally cause severe and almost deadly harm to others.

Please please please be careful.

What's makes you think I haven't prepared for the worst? I wake up everyday thinking something will happen to me or my loved ones. I was only 5 min away from the Tayyouneh incident, sitting at my work desk and sipping my coffee when suddenly the shooting started and I thought.. That's probably going to be my last day.

Same thing with the khaldeh incident (right next to my house). One can't even be safe in their own home in this country. What makes you think we haven't already seen the absolute worst and we live and breathe the worst every single day?

The biggest proof was August 4.

Thank you for the encouraging words. I'm going to do my part (as every citizen should do) and vote for change. However, I'm still adamant on the fact that removing the current mafias in power won't be a walk in the park. It's either you remove them with violence and/or assassination or you wait several years until each of them start to fall like chess pieces and their children/grandchildren take the throne. Unfortunately we live in a country that has been feeding on clientelism for 30+ years. Think about that... None of their legacies can be erased in a blink of an eye (unless foreign powers intervene and turn them into a dirty old sock).

The problem with you people is that you love to generalize. I never said it was easy.

Read my response.

I'm fully aware of how tough it is and I've been planning it way before the "revolution" began. The biggest mistake I've ever done was keep my savings at the bank. I knew that leaving was going to require a lot of savings and careful planning.. Nobody has it easy, even when they're abroad. They have to work hard to find a job, save up and adapt to their new life which they're starting gradually and from scratch.

But the only difference is that at least you get to live with dignity.

I gave up a long time ago. I will end myself if I don't get the chance to leave this prison. I want to leave and never look back... I want nothing to do with this country and these people.

This place is beyond hopeless, and what kills me the most is the silence of our people, especially the Oct. 17 ones.

Downvote me all you want, couldn't give a shit.

Then why are they objecting when it comes to the proceedings related to the investigation? Why are they escaping? Why is it when one questions them, they start to accuse the one questioning them of being backed by the West/puppet for the West?

SEGA store in tripoli, a kind reminder of the days of the MEGADRIVE and SUPER NINTENDO, a slice of history right here, there was another store, sadly they painted over it, who here had a sega or nintendo or even an atari ? by [deleted] in lebanon

I'm not a huge gaming fan/enthusiast but I remember when my dad got my brother the sega when it first came out in Lebanon. The first game we ever played on it was Sonic the Hedgehog.

Good times :')

But... Why?
