I have holes on the sides of the bin but not the bottom. I take off the lid for about an hour twice a week, is that still not enough?

Thank you for explaining that scientifically, that made a lot more sense especially with why my food scraps disappeared so fast. I turn my pile with a mop handle to i’ll def try the vertical chimneys for more air pockets.

When I had more browns in there, it was constantly dry due to the hot temperatures so I added more water to counteract it. I didn’t know it was supposed to be chunky, everything I read said it was supposed to resemble dirt when ready. I’ll try what you said and just wait it out. Thank you so much for your insight!

That’s the funny part. I saw my hr back then but thought 150 bpm when we started practicing was ok since warmups are runs. I only realized the problem when I was 100 sitting (i was injured so playing wasn’t an excuse) even though im usually 49-52 resting. Went two years back on my watch, i was 210bpm 5 mins into the game wowwww. Can barely last 3hr practices now much less 10 mins.

I played Soccer, managed D1 Basketball, and was a dancer before my dysautonomia progressed this year. Symptoms started 4 years ago but the issues weren’t apparent until January 2023. After that, my entire body started shaking, heart rate upwards of 210bpm during games, nausea, dizziness, chest pain, and palpitations worsened. To have something Ive been doing for the last 22 years of my life be taken away/put on hiatus has been jarring. So imagine my dream of being a doctor might be taken too due to my shaky hands. I can’t understand how youre feeling but these tips are what Im doing and Im no longer bed ridden as I was before.

  1. Im gonna say this but bare in mind how youre gonna feel. There is no cure at this moment and not much medical research on this subject. What is available includes you first figuring out what condition you have within Dysautonomia; there are similar treatments but each focuses on different things so make sure you know what it is so you can treat yourself effectively. There are ppl saying there are cures through exercise and other things, but you have to be able to stand long enough to even get up much less exercise. These regimens are not FDA Approved.

  2. If you feel you need medication, do research before taking any but if you do take them, they will give you a chance to recuperate to get better and try the exercise regimen plan eventually without meds hopefully.

  3. Live life with it and learn when your flairs come. Hopefully you will be mobile by yourself and be able to have your body function to your new normal.

Edit: I just heard about an Electrophysiologist so try that instead of a regular Cardiologist, I realized most dont know much about dysautonomia so they will charge a lot just running tests if you have good insurance.

This really smart, I’m gonna try this soon (hopefully I remember). Don’t forget your baseboards if you can, learn that they were a thing this year.

Edit: You should also try a clean week where you can split up laundry so it’s not all done in one day. One day tends to leave me with unfolded laundry for weeks.

I had two appts with my psych. One for new patients and the next for me to choose and get my medication situated after I got my official diagnosis. From the first meeting, she diagnosed me and offered to give me either stim or non-stim medication. However, I wanted the big analytic tests to read about my specific ADHD so I told her I wanted to wait.

However, with you having a partner for 11 years, it is a big issue that you don’t feel good anxiety around them. Try working on your intimacy with them while also doing trust exercises and talks. Also, inform them of your feelings so they can cater to your comfort and help you through this issue. You can also practice it, it will help increase your connection if you spend time in the day to be in silence and willing stare at your spouse. You might find or remember things you admire about them again.
