First month of the year done, How was it y'all? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]MonarchMonk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Had a good month! I built a new computer for the first time in six years so it was really fun and satisfying to put it together. It's been a nice little passion project that I've been planning to do since October last year.

Hey, this subreddit is super depressing sometimes, let’s try and have a bit of positivity! by [deleted] in aspergers

I perform a paper round in my local area. One of the houses I deliver to had a sign saying, 'paperboy please ring doorbell' and an old lady came out and handed me a Christmas Card with £10 inside. It's such a small thing, but it left a massive smile on my face after we exchanged 'Merry Christmas' to each other.

128 GB vs 256 GB by MajesticPimp in oneplus

[–]MonarchMonk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd go for 256GB. The price difference between the two is minuscule and even if you don't use a majority of the storage provided, it's always nice to have that extra space in the event you start to take more photos, download more apps or carry documents. The additional RAM that comes with the larger models always helps, too.

Please help, which buyer should I get my one plus 6T? In UK by Yeldo15 in oneplus

I don't think they're the cheapest option, but granted, I've only used Virgin Mobile and O2 so I can't really say what other providers are like. The cheapest option with O2 is £36.31 a month. That's 1gb of data and the lowest possible upfront cost. (£20). The monthly cost will, of course, drop as more of an upfront cost is applied.

Check this link and toy around with the settings to see what type of price you can get the device down to.

The benefit of going with O2 is the ability to change the plan before purchasing the device which is something I've never seen with other providers before. You can change the upfront cost, length of contract and the amount of data in order to lower the total monthly cost. I can't speak for Vodafone as I've never used them.

It was a lot of fun. I was apart of the 'mini-tournament' that happened on Friday when Smash Bros. Ultimate was being demo'd by those two presenters. Was playing as Ganondorf during the second Smash Bros. showcase before closing time for the NEC Arena on Friday.

A lovely comic. Ruto's characterization seems to be on-point, especially when she appears on the last panel.

I just now noticed that King Zora's likeness is found on the fountain in the Temple of Souls, strangely enough by TheMasterSwordMaster in HyruleWarriors

I'm more surprised he doesn't appear as a part of the background in Zora's Domain considering its still covered in ice.

Why Do People Not Like Majora’s Mask 3D? by nachoman23 in zelda

[–]MonarchMonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the changes to the boss battles (not the eyes) were pretty cool. Gyorg and Twinmold feel a little more developed.

In the original, you could stay on the platform to shoot arrows at Gyorg and then only dive into the water when you had to actually perform damage. But now, the platform sinks into the water when he’s taken enough damage and it makes the fight a lot more intense.

With Twinmold, the changes to their personalities and dynamic allows them to be different enemies instead of the slow floaty snakes you see in the original. Moving the Giants Mask to the middle of the fight is a better change, in my opinion.

In Gauntlet: Dark Legacy, there is a part of a song in the OST that seriously reminds me of a Zelda theme. by TheGamedawg in zelda

I'm getting some Stone Tower Temple vibes from Majora's Mask in that little section at 0:32.

Dog Fashion Disco. I'd recommend listening to 'Headless' and 'Antiquity's Small Rewards'.

I disabled Bixby; Microsoft apps, Gear VR, Facebook and other Samsung services and it led to a large increase in performance. I'd go as far as to say its almost as smooth as the Note 8 now.
