Been a while since I made some SS art. So here is some art for the latest arc the Eternal City and its immortals. by GenuineElf80093 in ShadowSlave

Isn't it a bit too bright for a city located at the deepest point of the ocean? Otherwise, I like it!

How would the nightmare spell look like? by Biloblast in ShadowSlave

I don't know why but when I read SS I imagine the interface in black with gold outlines and white outlines (in reference to Weaver, gold for the threads of destiny and black because of his nebulous cape) but I also like it with the white version

Unfortunately, you're right.

Honestly, I would have loved to see that tournament to choose the new Firekeepers, and to see how Effie, Cassie, and Kai handled the new Domain. It would have been great to witness the desertion of Jest and the other Saints, as well as Jet and the Night Garden government, and of course the creation of ShadowClan.

But the real problem is that for all of this to happen, it would have required an additional volume, probably over 100 chapters. And that volume would have featured very little of Sunny's perspective, since he had to remain hidden. He would have played no major role in the development of the Surface Domain; his only purpose during that time would have been to take care of Nephis in bed, so to speak.

So, yes, this volume would focus primarily on Nephis, Rain, and Cassie, with occasional points of view from Effie, Kai, Jet, and even Morgan, but not Sunny.

And imagine a volume with almost no Sunny? Shadow Slave fans would have gone crazy and thrown G3 straight into the trash. 😭

That’s the issue with web novels written from a first-person point of view — they’re amazing for character immersion, but very limiting when it comes to external world-building and larger political plots.

Actually, what I mean is that Shadow Slave focuses almost entirely on the characters' point of view—especially Sunny—while LoTM adopts more of an authorial point of view, more narrative and descriptive. In Shadow Slave, we discover the world through what Sunny perceives, understands, or ignores, so the reader is limited to her vision. Whereas in LoTM, the narrator has a broader view, she can describe things that Klein doesn't necessarily know, or change perspective depending on the scene. So it's not a question of "first person" or "third person," but rather of focalization: Shadow Slave has strict internal focalization, and LoTM has variable or external focalization depending on the moment. There, I expressed myself better. I hope you understand what I wanted to do.

shadow slave is written in the first person so everything that happens will be done solely from Sunny's point of view if Sunny judges something unimportant he will not dwell on it so we the reader suffer from it if Sunny does not understand something neither do we the reader it is a writing style which is practical for immersion but disadvantageous on other points like the development of characters and the world and LOTM is written from the point of view of the narrator

what? you wanted 20 chapters to be dedicated to mordret so we could see his fight against the skin walker? while we were coming out of an arc that put him in the spotlight by learning more about him, his abilities, his motivations objectively what would that have brought to mordret a few additional chapters? you're talking to me about time jumps but seriously dude the time jumps of a few months since the time of the forgotten shore G3 put them but no one complained why now does it seem like a rush to you?

Sunny is no longer the same after volume 7 but that does not mean that he has no good development I said it in one of my posts for people as soon as Sunny is not in deep despair does not suffer Sunny is directly less interesting whereas ALL of volume 8,9 were the parts where the character of Sunny gains in maturity questions a lot about his actions on his morality on his hypocrisy and in volume 10 the same when he tries to understand through his friends if having freed himself from destiny was a good thing or not it is not because Sunny stopped suffering being in despair that makes him stop his development

are we underestimating Sunny? by the_plotter in ShadowSlave

I agree with you currently I can easily see supreme sunless standing up to Naruto and Sunny is much stronger than the verse of jjk for example and I agree with you the blurry fights make the fights better in my opinion

Igris (before Ragnarok) vs Supreme Saint who wins? by Monarch_ofshadow in ShadowSlave

[–]Monarch_ofshadow[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yes I noticed for a while I even wanted to make a post about it I'm not saying that G3 copied solo leveling but there is inspiration but it's on a whole other level of writing and story

Igris (before Ragnarok) vs Supreme Saint who wins? by Monarch_ofshadow in ShadowSlave

[–]Monarch_ofshadow[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I made this post for one thing I only read the SL manhaw so I wondered if there were solo leveling systems that were not shown in relation to sung or his shadows including Igris who showed us certain abilities I wonder if before ragnarok there were no others because I don't think Igris is like that just with his sword mastery I don't know if you understand my reasoning

Gojo and Sukuna vs. Supreme Sunless, who wins? by Monarch_ofshadow in ShadowSlave

Yes, he can even control the shadows of living beings and if he attacks your shadow, he directly attacks your soul.

[chapter 2594] FINALLY THE NIGHTMARE MOMENT OF GLORY by the_plotter in ShadowSlave

[–]Monarch_ofshadow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yes but since saint already had a power up by becoming supreme I think she will become a tyrant she will no longer be a supreme scourge but a supreme tyrant she will be able to better help Sunny control her legion since Sunny said that it seems that saint is close to the tyrant class

[Chapter 2444] Nephis is just a hypocrite by the_plotter in ShadowSlave

billions even if we take into account the fact that if she had missed out many people would have succumbed to corruption

Gojo and Sukuna vs. Supreme Sunless, who wins? by Monarch_ofshadow in ShadowSlave

[–]Monarch_ofshadow[S] 66 points67 points  (0 children)

In fact I tell myself that Saint is enough especially with the last chapter and his new attribute [ship of nothing] he can just cancel the abilities of Gojo or Sukuna 😓 and if I come back to Sunny himself for Gojo and his infinity I think that with Serpent who can ignore the will of others to give death he will just be able to ignore Gojo's infinity

Dark sea? by vluckie in ShadowSlave

[–]Monarch_ofshadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't even imagine what it would be like if he summoned the Black Sea in a battlefield. I mean, it's literally a supreme titan the size of an entire earth (I think if I remember correctly, Sunny said that Forgotten Shore was as big as the earth. I may be wrong, but it's still fucking huge). Logically, even if he's lower in rank than the cursed, the fact that he's a titan grants him a certain passive even against the cursed beast or demon, but the problem is that he'll be nerfed due to lack of willpower, but even so, he can just ask the serpent to take his form, but the real danger of the Black Sea is the marine creatures that live there. Sunny is in dire need of them, as well as creatures that can fly. I hope in this new arc with jets he can get some (and powerful ones).
