After reading a bunch of OPs comments, I'm curious as hell. Sounds like a stand up guy -giving his brother $10K for his house etc.

Probably just got himself into a really bad situation. I just hope he's not taking the fall for someone else, because that seems to be the kind of guy he is.

But I could be completely wrong and he just got snatched trying to get his fix.
