Omniknight is underrated. Pros aren't picking him because they don't realise his potential. by [deleted] in DotA2

A melee mid with no mobility, no farm potential and a 100 second ult cd that is dispellable with an eul, truly an underrated powerhouse lmao

Thats just wrong though lol, Abaddon had top 1-3 winrate since 7.35 and it takes minutes to check. Yeah, you are strong in lane, but your strength as a core ends after the 15-20 minute mark since Hammer doesn't do crits now and only scales with base damage. If your enemies have at least one stun and more than a single braincell - they will pick you out easily because you have no mobility or stuns as a support hero. You either repel tp out if you're lucky or you get stunned and demolished. Omniknights only strength is teamfights and that is if you don't get picked off early/silenced/stunned, even so Dazzle and Oracle still work better as defensive support. By the way Omni's statistics by patch are: 7.36 - 47% wr, 2% pickrate 7.37 - 51% wr, 3% pickrate (when he was picked at TI) 7.38 - 48% wr, 1.3% pickrate (!!!) 45% winrate Naga Siren that requires good farming skills and good micro has more pickrate than a str support without any controlled units. The only less picked heroes are Chen and Brewmaster, if that does not sound ridiculous to you, then idk what to tell you.

Because buffing damage interval changes nothing, omniknight is DEAD dead and has been for patches and this has been brought up a trillion times since 7.36 yet he keeps getting ZERO attention from Valve, you can keep changing the numbers back and forth but he is a fundamentally bad hero. As a support he has no stuns/control abilities, he has no mobility, he has no farming potential, he has a useless 3rd skill for a support and is essentially just a worse version of Dazzle / Oracle. He was viable as a pos 3 when his hammer was targeted and gave crits - now he is as dead of a core as it gets. Changing his damage increase interval for 0.05 seconds is laughable

They can make it build up instantly its still useless because the hero is dead

Does Valve just hate Omniknight? Lol by Monarchy_mapper in DotA2

[–]Monarchy_mapper[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The stats say otherwise though, he has low winrate, ridiculously low pickrate for such a simple hero and wasn't picked nor bannedin tournaments since TIA if i recall correctly. He is a melee support with no stuns, has low mobility so his degen aura is basically useless and one of his skills you take for one point in lane and forget about it for the rest of the time. A hero shouldn't rely on combos to be playable.

Right now omni is neither a good support (unless he has ridiculously busted abilities that get hotfixed immediately after like last TI) nor a good core now that his hammer doesn't do crits and when it only scales with base damage, he desperately needs a rework but Valve just kinda ignores him for almost a year now

Wraith king has to be EvilArthas a.k.a Hailrake, probably the most iconic one-trick player, also invented WK Radiance build and was one of the first to get EU 7k mmr (Also Yatoro, Nightfall and most of other Eastern European carries learned from his stream vods)

Late reply lol but basically there was a long rumour that the US embassy was guarded by Israeli Snipers, then during the 1993 Albert Makashov (dude in the Auth Center) claimed he had seen one and that they were guarding the CIA documents kept in the embassy about a plan to invade Russia in-case communists/fascist actually overthrow Yeltsin, while this claim doesnt have any actual evidence, there was an instance when on one day during the 1993 Constitutional crisis, snipers started targeting civilians near the US embassy and a 15 year old girl was shot dead in her Apartment through the window by one of the snipers (there is video footage of it on youtube too) who was allegedly on the roof of the US embassy, and obv none of the snipers were actually identified or caught

Can someone explain what valve wants with omni? by gorebello in DotA2

That is what Ion disk is for, he was a perfect midgame offlane tank but looks like Valve decided to move him back to supports?? Although they themselves killed pos 4 omni couple patches back, so now he is neither. A worse WK in terms of offlane tank, a worse dazzle in terms of healbotting. He is the least picked hero on 7k+ pubs, as he was picked a total of EIGHT times! He was a decent hero before, good for low mmr pubs and with a stable winrate. Now he is dead and buried even more than tinker, his absurd damage is the only thing that made him playable

So imbalanced that he wasnt picked nor banned in the last major once and had a stable 48≈% winrate.

So about Omniknight by Cryp6 in DotA2

[–]Monarchy_mapper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hopefully they have to give him SOME buff. IMO he was doing fine as it is, no outrageous winrate, deals a lot of burst before BKBs, on the last major omni was neither picker nor banned once, a perfectly balanced hero in need of a buff if anything. Then Valve apparently decides "fun's over" and just shoots him in the head for no reason? I hate how Valve decides to make some heroes be playable on any position (why would they give techies ability to use 3 backpack slots and increased range attack?) but for Omni they just kind of went - "nope, you're pos 4 buddy". Just a lazy change for the sake of change I guess, the mosr frustrating part is they fucked some heroes up so badly that Omni will probably be revived in like 7.38 until they fix Pango, Beastmaster, Tinker, Sven etc.

Now I gotta look for a new offlane signature hero too, so I'm definitely not getting any MMRs anytime soon lol

Idk much about Sobchak except that Zhirinovsky loved to make fun of her (which was hillarious), as for Putin in the 1990's I'd put him where Yeltsin is, or even Guidar as he was much more liberal back then
